Trade Deal With Kalistan Beluzia to Send Ethanol to Kalistan in Exchange for Iron Ore March 14, 2027
Kalistani Taconite Mined in the Neveras Range
After being approached by Beluzian representatives, the Kalistani government has approved of a mutually beneficially trade agreement in which Beluzia would send Kalistan potato-based ethanol in exchange for iron ore produced by the state-owned ferromineral company, KalNaFerCo. This official trade deal is the first between Beluzia and Kalistan, or any socialist nation for that matter, following the 2019 putsch, which indicates that relations and trade between Beluzia and other nations can continue on as normal despite political differences between their leaders.
The specifics of the trade deal have been released by both the Beluzian and Kalistani governments, revealing that Kalistan will send Beluzia 50,000 tonnes of iron ore, 10,000 tonnes a month from August to December, in exchange for 10,102 kiloliters of potato-based ethanol, 2000 kiloliters a month from August to December.
The job of producing ethanol will be given to a number of chemical companies across the nation who will sign individual contracts with the government and will be supplied with the necessary amount of potatoes from the Sindeacáit Feirmeoirí agus Rainseoirí Kilaelige. On the other side, the iron ore to be sent to Beluzia will be mined and processed directly by KalNaFerCo.
The Kalistani government has long been looking for a good fuel alternative to its domestically produced oil. The trade deal for ethanol would offer Kalistan a sample to test the viability for switching partially or entirely to bio fuel and allow more of its oil be put up for international trade.
The primary reason Beluzia has sought out Kalistani iron is to use the raw material, after being refined to steel in Beluzia, to replace a number of vehicles in the Beluzian army with Beluzian-made materials. This would use only 15,000 tonnes of steel, leaving more than 30,000 tonnes of iron ore left, but this ore will also be put to use. The remaining ore will also be used to make steel, and this steel will be put on the domestic market to be used by Beluzian companies for their needs, while a small portion will be retained by the government for any necessary use in the future.

National Labor Program Established Government Creates State Labor Program Modeled After Kalistani National Service March 15, 2028
One of the main goals of Uachtarán MacArthur's term has been to cut down Beluzia's 8.4% unemployment rate (In 2020). During the AnnO insurgency, this rate climbed to around 10%, but has been slowly and steadily falling since 2025. Currently, the unemployment rate sits at around a 7.6%, which, according to MacArthur, "is grossly unacceptable for the Kilani people.
In order to further tackle the issue of unemployment, Uachtarán MacArthur has announced earlier today the creation of a Kilaelige Lucht Saothar Náisiúnta (Kilani National Labor Force). This program will be completely paid for and controlled by the government, and would see a large force of Beluzian workers completing public works and services initiatives, such as the construction and maintenance of infrastructure and the erection of government-provided housing units.
This program is modeled after the Kalistani National Service Program in which students are given enough funds to pay for higher education and a decent wage in exchange for offering their labor to the government. The difference is that instead of receiving higher education, Beluzian workers will receive a home, the basic amenities required for modern living, such as food and electricity, and a small wage, presumably to be spent on luxury goods.
Recruitment will begin immediately for the first wave of public initiatives that are, reportedly, to be announced and started sometime in the summer. Until then, all members of the KLSN will be given food and a small wage, and shelter if shelter is needed.

Beluzia Brief Beluzia's Most Reliable Source of Quick News
KLSN Infrastructure Project October 13, 2028
The Kilaelige Lucht Saothar Náisiúnta has released to the public the plans for its first major public works initiative: the construction of new highways in order to make travel across the country far easier. For decades, the Beluzian infrastructure system has been laughable compared to the installations of the rest of the modernized world, being small, deteriorated, and more concentrated in the southern and more urban part of the country. This has not only made it more difficult for civilians to traverse the country, especially Negunia, but has also made it difficult to transport resources and trade goods across the country. This has had an especially large effect on the agricultural sector since the majority of Beluzia's farms are located in the undeveloped north.
The KLSN plan would see the laying of a dozen new highways, the majority (In length) of which will be located in Negunia in order to streamline the transport of agricultural products. The Negunia installations would come at the cost of a slight decrease in farmland and crop output, but would vastly decrease travel time. The rest of the highways planned to be constructed in the south of Beluzia have the objective of making travel more convenient for civilians by extending the reach of Beluzia's current highway system to previously unconnected cities as well as making connections between existing highways in order to make it so that drivers don't have to go longer distances to reach comparatively nearby targets without having to use backroads, a good example being the new connection between Fort Thorne and Stonecliff.
Included in the KLSN's definitive plans is an unapproved two highways and two bridges that would connect the islands of the Bailon Archipelago with each other and the mainland. Although the plan has not yet been approved by the government, the KLSN estimates that construction of the Bailon Bridges (As they have been dubbed) wouldn't begin until at least 2030, after the mandate of the next Uachtarán.

Beluzia Brief Beluzia's Most Reliable Source of Quick News
KeymonAir to Fly to Cirrane April 14, 2029
Yesterday, the Keymonite airline company announced that it would make a single flight to and from the capital city of Cirrane everyday with one of the company's new Boing 737 MAX airliners, which has the capability to carry around 140 passengers. This announcement is tremendous news for the once thriving Beluzian tourism industry, which has taken a dive following the 2019 Putsch due to many governments cutting relations with Beluzia and prohibiting travel.
This decision by the Keymonite company has been controversial to say the least, earning much criticism both in Keymon and Beluzia. In Keymon, opponents to this action have denounced the Beluzian regime as "totalitarian" and "tyrannical" and have claimed that allowing tourists to go to Beluzia would endanger them while putting money into the hands of the regime. Both of these fears seem to be unfounded as 1) Beluzia does very little to harm its own citizens and the small number of current tourists and is unlikely to make an exception for Keymonite tourists, and 2) All tourism agencies and attractions operate within the private sector, meaning that a majority of profits made by Beluzian entities would go to private companies and individuals, and only a small portion being taken by the government in taxes.
In Beluzia, a minority of staunch ultranationalists (By Ár Náisiún standards) have made the argument that Beluzia is meant for Kilanis and no foreign elites should have the right to gaze upon the beauty of the Beluzian landscape, but this argument has be largely disregarded due to the obvious benefits of beginning to allow the tourism industry. Uachtarán MacArthur also pointed out that it would be "healthy for international relations to allow more foreign tourists to come to Beluzia and see what life in the country is really like rather than to blindly believe the propaganda of organizations that don't have all the information about our great nation."

Production of Military Vehicles to Begin After Months of Preparation, Production of Scorpios and Stingers to Begin September 18, 2029
First Scorpio Off of Production Line
Three years and twelve days ago, the development of Beluzian APCs and light tanks came to an end after five rocky years of an ambitious armament project. Since then, the government has been hard at work in order to procure the necessary materials and sponsor the construction of the needed facilities to produce the APCs and lights tanks for a mass replacement of the vehicles currently used by the Arm na Beluzia.
The largest hurdle that has been faced by the government in this series events must have been the total lack of steel by the nation. This deficit of steel was not caused by not having the means to produce it, Beluzia's industrial sector was once dominated by the steel production industry, but instead was caused by the complete lack of iron. Beluzian iron mine have long been dried up and the steel industry has largely been kept afloat by the importation of iron from across Terra, but attack on Beluzian trade by foreign nation's opposed to the ideology ruling Beluzia has prevented the importation of iron and has caused the steel industry to suffer and the government stores to empty, but this was until Beluzia found an unlikely trade partner in the socialist nation of Kalistan. In exchange for 10,102 kiloliters of potato-based ethanol, Kalistan agreed to supply Beluzia with 50,000 tonnes of steel, enough to produce Beluzia's needed combat vehicles and use for other projects.
Since they completed their research into light tanks and APCs, Morrígan and Ferguson have been hard at work to construct the facilities necessary to mass produce their vehicles. Rather than constructing new facilities and being forced to purchase new machinery from abroad or wait until the entirety of the Kalistani iron was processed into steel and be used to build the machinery in Beluzia, both companies opted to convert some of their already built factories into the proper facilities for the production of military facilities. For Morrígan, the facility converted was their Belderry Rifle Factory, while Ferguson converted on of their truck factories in Port Tackstov and another in Union Bay. This process only finally ended earlier this month.
Last week, the Ministry of Defense announced that it had officially put in an order for 550 MMT I "Scorpios" from Morrígan and 1100 FAPC I "Stingers" from Ferguson. 500 Scorpios and 1000 Stingers will be used to immediately replace the outdated 1500 light tanks and APCs used by the Arm na Beluzia, while the remaining will be put into storage. Morrígan has reported that the MoD can expect them to complete the production by the time the next Uachtarán is chosen, April, while Ferguson reports that production of APCs won't end until late 2030 or early 2031.

MacArthur to Run for Reelection Michael MacArthur Announces He'll Run Once More for Uachtarán October 17, 2029
Uachtarán MacArthur Gives a Speech to a Small Crowd in Cirrane
The time for the Dáil to choose a new Uachtarán is fast approaching, and a number of candidates have already thrown their hats in the ring and, unsurprisingly, Michael MacArthur's hat is also in that ring.
For the last decade, Michael MacArthur has served the Beluzian people as Uachtarán and has done much to benefit the citizens of Beluzia, from creating an efficient national healthcare system to combating the unemployment crisis, and has overcome numerous national issues which have come up during his reign, including a communist insurgency and the closure of trade and relations from numerous foreign nations.
Lately, polls are rarely taken in Beluzia, but one was given recently by the government to determine the public's confidence in the current Uachtarán and to see which of the current candidates the public supports. When it came to how the public felt about MacArthur, and astounding 62% voiced that they were supportive of the Uachtarán, while 29% neither supported nor opposed the Uachtarán and a measly 9% reported that they were in opposition to MacArthur and his policies. When asked who they supported for the position of Uachtarán, an overwhelming 76% of those who were polled said that they supported MacArthur, while 13% said they supported Dara O'Hannegan of An Dílis, 7% supported the independent Fiachra MacIver, and the remaining 4% voiced support for Aidan Guinness of Ár Náisiún.
But the overwhelming public support for MacArthur doesn't matter when it comes to the picking of the next Uachtarán, as that responsibility is left solely up to the Dáil, whose last mass election was in 2020. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult to accurately estimate the loyalties of TDs, as they tend to avoid answering questions revolving the selection of the Uachtarán, though it can be safely said that there is less support for MacArthur in the Dáil than in the public.

MacArthur Reelected Michael MacArthur Reelected to Position of Uachtarán May 8, 2030
Uachtarán Michael MacArthur
After nearly a month of grueling debate and, no doubt, backroom deals, the Dáil has finally come to the decision to once again bestow the Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge upon Michael MacArthur, who will continue his term for the next ten years.
MacArthur, who campaigned primarily on his successes as the first Uachtarán and to continue his autarky program, was faced three other candidates from among the Dáil. The first among MacArthur's opponents was, Dara O'Hannegan, an An Dílis TD from Negunia, ran on a religious platform of outlawing certain "amoral" aspects of society, such as abortion and homosexuality, in order to "save the spirit of the Kilani people." Next among his opponents was the independent TD Fiachra MacIver of Bamburgh, a former member of the liberal Saoirse party who, in contrast to O'Hannegan, ran on liberalizing Beluzia's fascist society and restoring power to the Dáil as well as establishing set elections. The last candidate was Aidan Guinness, a relatively unknown Ár Náisiún TD from Harlingen that ran on conceding some powers to the Dáil, restricting the rights of Luthorian and Kozer minorities in the east of the country, and completely closing Beluzia's borders and relations with the outside world.
Despite being the least popular candidate among the Beluzian population and, arguably, having the most destructive policies, a significant portion of the Dáil (thirty-nine TDs) initially gave their support to Guinness while the more popular O'Hannegan and MacIver were effectively put on the back burner, neither of whom received more than ten supporters.
As stated in the constitution, a candidate would have to receive seventy-five supporters in the Dáil to be elected to Uachtarán within the first week of elections, the amount lowing to sixty supporters in the second week, a simple majority in the third, and, if an Uachtarán had not yet been chosen, the candidate with the plurality would be elected at the end of the fourth week. During this election, the extreme case became the reality, as no candidate was able to receive more needed number of supporters. As the fourth week neared its end, two events occurred which solidified MacArthur's victory, 1) O'Hannegan and MacIver dropped out of the race and endorsed MacArthur on the fifth of May and 2)MacArthur gave a rousing speech on the seventh of May.
Quote from MacArthur's May 7 Speech Which has Become Famous (Or Infamous) Across Beluzia:
At 9:42 this morning, the Dáil delivered its long awaited decision: MacArthur will once again receive the Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge and as Uachtarán of Beluzia. He will officially be reinaugurated Sunday of next week.

MacArthur Forces "Life Edict" Uachtarán MacArthur Implements Abortion and Death Penalty Restrictions August 12, 2032
Teachta Dála Seachlann O'Scolaidhe, Leading Opponent of MacArthur's "Life Edict"
This past weekend, Uachtarán MacArthur presented a planned executive edict to the Dáil to receive the opinions of Beluzia's Teachtaí Dála. The Life Edict, which proposed restricting pregnancy terminations to cases in which the health and/or life of the mother is at risk and also completely eliminating the use of the death penalty as a criminal punishment, was met by staunch resistance in the Ár Náisiún dominated Dáil. An overwhelming majority of the TDs in the Dáil supported the proposed restrictions on abortion procedures, but most of the Ár Náisiún TDs, along with four An Dílis TDs and two independents, opposed the banning of the death penalty and urged the Uachtarán to not go through with implementing the edict as is.
Yesterday morning, Uachtarán MacArthur announced live on the Kilani National Media Corporation's television channel, without bringing his amendments up with the Dáil, that he had officially signed the updated Life Edict into effect. The amendments to the edict saw no change to the new policy on abortion, but has changed the total ban on the death penalty to a partial ban only allowing execution to be a punishment for high treason, mass murder, and grievous torture.
The Dáil and Ár Náisiún have come out hard against the edict and have condemned both the edict and Uachtarán MacArthur for ignoring the advice of the Dáil. In response to the edict, numerous Ár Náisiún TDs walked out of the Dáil and marched to the Pálás na Sinsear (Palace of the Ancestors), the state-provided home for the Uachtarán and ancestral palace of the na Beluztalamh Petty Kings, where they were joined by Ár Náisiún members and Laochra ár Sinsear militants and protested the Life Edict by marching around the palace and blockaded all entrance and exit from the building. The protesters eventually dispersed after five hours.
Today, TD Seachlann O'Scolaidhe, a supporter of TD Aidan Guinness and staunch opponent to Uachtarán MacArthur, gave a speech to the Dáil which was broadcasted live to Beluzia in which he denounced the Uachtarán and called for the Dáil to choose a new Uachtarán.
Excerpt from TD O'Scolaidhe's Speech to the Dáil:
O'Scolaidhe's speech was well-received by MacArthur's staunch opponents, but was largely rejected by the Dáil and the public who oppose removing MacArthur from office for forcing through a seemingly unpopular law.
Update: August 13, 2032 Uachtarán Michael MacArthur has released a statement in response to the opposition to his Life Edict:

New "Decadence Tax" Government Implements New Tax on Luxury Goods October 15, 2033
In spite of the recent deepening of fractures in the government, common ground was found between Uachtarán MacArthur and the Dáil in the form of a new tax on luxury goods. The newly implemented "Decadence Tax", which has received unanimous support from Ár Náisiún and An Dílis in the Dáil, would require consumers to pay ten percent more for goods deemed unnecessary to modern living if those good were produced in foreign nations, but only five percent more for luxury goods produced in Beluzia.
The main goal of this tax, just as other taxes, is to raise money for planned government programs, though many in the Dáil have admitted that the tax has the secondary goal of reducing Beluzian dependence on foreign luxury goods and nudging the population back to its agrarian, simplistic roots by reducing the amount of these goods that Beluzian citizens will be able to afford.
In order to keep in mind the prosperity of Beluzian industries, the government has set the tax for Beluzian-made luxury goods to five percent rather than ten percent. This different rate is to especially protect the Beluzian alcohol industry, which is one of the world's most lucrative industries as well as Beluzia's most important industry.
Once again, the Dáil has proved to have an opinion unpopular with the Beluzian people, as new polls indicate that a majority of the population is in opposition to the tax with only ardent Kilani Fascists and anti-corporatist leftists supporting the tax. A few groups have already staged protests in Cirrane, Whitestones, and Port Tackstov, but, overall, opponents of the tax have opted rather to only make their opinions known rather than to participate in protesting.

Infrastructure Plan Completed National Workers Finish Construction of 2028 Highway Project January 18, 2036 \ New Bridge Connecting Wolfpine Isle with the Mainland
Eight years ago, workers of the then newly established Kilaelige Lucht Saothar Náisiúnta began an ambitious new project of expanding highways into Beluzia's more rural and remote areas. For almost a decade, those employed by the KLSN have been hard at work to make Beluzia more accessible to the average citizen and to logistics workers. Yesterday, the KLSN announced that the labour of its workers had yielded bountiful fruits, that the state-owned company had completed construction of all the new roads and bridges and that those new highway systems had passed all sustainability tests with flying colors.
Before the recent expansion, the Beluzian highway system had been more a joke than an actual efficient means of transport and had been laughable compared to its Artanian neighbors. The original system was built primarily in the south, Beluzia's industrial base, with some areas (Specifically eastern Negunia, Wolfpine Isle, and Keld Island) not having any highways at all. In Negunia in particular, this lack of development had a negative effect on the local economy, restricting the amount of local produce that could be sent to the more developed parts of the country.
When the infrastructure plan was originally announced, the KLSN mentioned that their would be a possibility of building two bridges which would connect the three main islands of the Bailon Archipelago with each other as well as the mainland. At the time, the KLSN could say if they would go along with the plan, but two years after the announcement, in 2030, they began the construction of the Cullen Bridge, which now connects North Cullen with South Cullen, and Keld Island with the Wolfpine Isle. Later, construction began on the MacArthur Bridge, which extends out of Port Tackstov to connect Wolfpine Isle with the mainland. With the finish of the construction of these two bridges, it is now possible for the first time in history to travel through every County of Beluzia only by ground. A truly great moment for our nation.
The new bridges and highways will be opened for public use on March fourth, the sixteenth anniversary of the overthrow of Marshal Jack MacGinnis in celebration of the "creation of the new regime and the toppling of the Old World Order."

Government Incentivizes Families Government Issues Tax Deductions and Rewards to New and Expanding Families March 21, 2036
O'Hanrahan Family of Eastern Bamburgh
In order to boost birthrates in Beluzia and promote the conservative ideal of the traditional family, Uachtarán MacArthur announced today that the government would begin incentivizing having children and starting families through a system of tax deductions and other rewards for new parents, newlyweds, and mothers with more than three children. A similar policy has been advocated for by the Traidisiún agus Moráltacht and An Dílis parties for years before the 2019 Putsch, but no such policy has ever made it through the Dáil in the past.
Under the new law, newlywed individuals (At least those who have not been divorced more than twice in the past) will have have their income tax reduced by one quarter for a year, new and second-time parents will have their income tax reduced by twenty percent for a year, and parents who have had their third, fourth, fifth, et cetera child will have their income tax reduced by a third.
In addition to tax benefits, mothers of three or more children will be awarded the Kilani Merit of Motherhood, a special silver medal that memorializes their service to the Kilani people by assisting in the expansion of the nation.
Despite receiving minor backlash from the more radical elements of Ár Náisiún, non-Kilani Beluzian citizens will also be permitted to receive the benefits of expanding their families, only their tax deductions will be cut in half and mothers of three or more children will receive the Beluzian Merit of Motherhood, a slightly different silver medal meant to memorialize the mother's service to Beluzia rather than the Kilani people.
Statement from Uachtarán MacArthur in Regards to the New Law:

Mass Elections Forced Uachtarán MacArthur Calls For a New Dáil February 19, 2038
Empty Dáil Following MacArthur's Act of Dissolution
For the past several years, the Dáil has been a major roadblock for Uachtarán MacArthur in his attempts to get his policies passed before the end of his second Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge, after which he swore not to run for reelection. Most recently, the Dáil's opposition to MacArthur manifested itself in a heavy and heated debate over a slight income tax reduction proposed by MacArthur which ended in the Uachtarán's hardcore TD opponents walking out of the Dáil and circling the building shouting disparaging remarks about MacArthur and leaving him to discuss the tax change with the twenty-four remaining TDs.
This stunt seems to have been the final straw between the Uachtarán and the Dáil, as Uachtarán MacArthur announced two hours ago that the current Dáil would be dissolved immediately and elections would be scheduled exactly one month from today. In addition to this, MacArthur also released a list of former TDs who would be prohibited from running for reelection in the coming elections, all of whom were participants of the walkout.
This power is specifically given to the Uachtarán in the Constitution, in the case that the Uachtarán has rightful belief that the Dáil is taking a stance against him and, therefore, the Kilani people (As the Uachtarán is recognized by law and by the Aurorian Patriarchal Church to be the representative of the Kilani people and of Beluzia).
Update: February 23, 2038 After fiercely protesting Uachtarán MacArthur's decision to dissolve the Dáil and hold fresh elections, Seachlann O'Scolaidhe, a former TD and the greatest of the Uachtarán's opponents, was labeled as a traitor by the government and promptly brought into custody by the Laochra ár Sinsear and brought to the Presidential Palace to be held before being put on trial. Uachtarán MacArthur has justified this action by claiming that O'Scolaidhe was committing treason against the Kilani people by resisting the decisions of their representative, though many see this as a sign that MacArthur may be falling into authoritarianism.

2038 Mass Elections March 20, 2038
After a measly month of campaigning, mass elections for the Dáil have been held across the nation, the elections being scheduled last month by Uachtarán MacArthur after years of fierce opposition from his opponents in the previous Dáil. These elections have seen a massive hit dealt to the dominant Ár Náisiún fascists, who lost sixteen seats in the Dáil, but still maintain a two-thirds majority. An Dílis saw a slight increase of two seats, but the biggest winner of the elections is undoubtedly the TDs of the Independent Bloc, a loose association of Teachtaí Dála not officially members of any political group, but united loosely under the leadership of Fiachra MacIver in opposition to the rule of Ár Náisiún.

"Finale" Edict Uachtarán MacArthur Issues Final Edict in the MacArthur Plan September 17, 2038
Harlingen
Since the dissolution of the previous Dáil and the March elections, relations between the Uachtarán and the rest of the government have soothed to the point where progress can be made and policy put into law, though there are still a few TDs that oppose MacArthur and many former TDs still protest every action he and the new government takes at every opportunity they are presented with.
For the past few months, after learning from his previous mistakes of going over the head of the Dáil when making policy, Uachtarán MacArthur has been in deep discussions with the current TDs over new policy, specifically in regards to completing MacArthur plan, which has received little attention in the past decade. However, now it seems as if that program is finally coming to an end, with an edict issued by Uachtarán MacArthur today which would see the final aspects of the program completed.
The "Finale" Edict, as it has been labeled by political commentators, will see the nationalization of the national water supply, all private electrical grids, and all telephone lines across the country. These services will now be provided free for government workers and at a reduced prices for all other private sector workers.
In addition to these nationalizations, MacArthur has ordered the KLSN to begin construction of a series of housing projects across the nation, which will be (Like all other government products) will be offered to public workers for free and private workers at a reduced price.
Like all his policies, the Finale Edict has won MacArthur much criticism, and, once again, a great much of it comes from the unprincipled members of his own party. At this point, it is easy to see the bias against MacArthur in these critics, as the basis of the MacArthur Plan, Duffyist Autarky, is a prime tenant of the ideology of Ár Náisiún and a large number those current critics of the MacArthur plan have stated their support for these policies in the past.

MacArthur Dead! Uachtarán Michael MacArthur Assassinated May 29, 2039
Rifle Used to Kill MacArthur
BREAKING The nation mourns today as, earlier today, Uachtarán Michael MacArthur was shot and killed during a speech he was giving in Port Tackstov.
At 11:27 am, twelve minutes through the speech he was giving to the members of the Port Tackstov Dockworkers Union, a shot rang throughout the area as a bullet that hit MacArthur in the leg was fired from a building across the street from the location of the speech. Moments later, a second bullet was fired, this time hitting MacArthur in the head as he was attempting to escape the area. Ambulances arrived shortly, and MacArthur was rushed to the Port Tackstov Emergency Hospital, though he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
With the Uachtarán dead, the Dáil has taken control of the government until a replacement can be found. About an hour following the confirmation of MacArthur's death, the Dáil voted unanimously to announce a state of emergency across the nation and has ordered that all active military personnel be put on alert. In Port Tackstov, martial law has been declared and military units have been deployed to the city.
The assassin is yet to be found and a motive hypothesized, though police had found the suspected murder weapon, a weathered old Henson B4 sniper rifle from the 1950s. Needless to say, finding the assassin has become the number one priority for the Port Tackstov police, who have closed all entry to and exit from the city to prevent a getaway. This ban on entering and leaving the city has also been applied to ships, which will be enforced by the blockading of the port by the navy.
Update: May, 30 2039 The suspected assassin of Uachtarán Michael MacArthur was detained by the military today after he approached a patrol and turned himself in. The suspect has been identified as Keenan McPhee, a former army infantryman and current member of the LaS and Ár Náisiún. A motive has not yet been obtained, but McPhee is being interrogated by the military as we speak. Any information obtained will be published immediately.

July Coup Laochra ár Sinsear Stormtroopers Seize Government Facilities
LaS Stormtroopers Cut Access to the Cirrane Administrative District
July 2 Following the assassination of Uachtarán MacArthur just a few days ago, opportunists within the LaS have taken advantage of the freshly created power vacuum and converged upon the Cirrane Administrative District and seized a number of government facilities, including the Dáil and the Pálás na Sinsear.
The perpetrators of the coup are yet to release any statement to the public and have instead locked down the district by setting up barricades along all roads leading into the district and firing upon anyone who gets too close barricades. A great many prisoners have been taken by the rebels, and are currently being held in the Dáil (According to satellite imagery showing the rebels moving groups of prisoners into the building).
July 3 The LaS rebels have freed Seachlann O'Scolaidhe from his captivity in the infamous dungeons of the Pálás na Sinsear, and have proclaimed him as the new Uachtarán of Beluzia. This news was learned through a brief statement released from the rebels earlier this morning.
Statement from the LaS:
The entirety of the Laochra ár Sinsear has sworn loyalty to the rebels and have sworn to take up arms in the name of the new regime. Already, LaS troopers have risen up across Beluzia and have seized strategic positions and buildings in the name of the new government, however the military and the remnants of the government are yet to respond.
July 4 All branches of the Beluzian Armed Forces have unanimously declared the LaS rebels to be criminals and have declared support for the current government and have begun to deploy troops against the rebels throughout the country. Despite this, a number of rogue officers have declared their support for the rebels and have mutinied. Estimates suggest that 20,000 ground troops (10%) have joined the rebel cause.
No battle has taken place as of yet, though the nation stands still and watches these events with awe and terror.
