Political Gangs in Cirrane Fascist and Communist Street Gangs Turn Capital into Battlefield February 12, 2019
Street Fighters of "Arm na n-Oibrithe" (Army of Workers) March through the Streets of Cirrane
Since the last elections in 2016, Beluzia has been plagued with civil unrest and street violence instigated mostly by the military wings of our two fringe parties, the fascist Ár Náisiún (Our Nation) and the communist Sinn Oibrithe (Us Workers). The violence has escalated in the last few months, with armed street gangs and militias mobilizing in Cirrane and around the country, though on a smaller scale outside of the capital. These gangs, predominantly Laochra ár Sinsear (Warriors of our Ancestors) and Arm na n-Obrithe (Army of Workers), have been in an open state of conflict with each other, which has already resulted in fifty-six deaths, one-hundred-and-nineteen injuries. and thousands of Pounds worth of damage. The police was initially able to keep the violence controlled, but after the recent escalation, even the most well-trained riot units have been routed by the sheer number of street fighters making anarchy in the capital, which has left the government contemplating whether or not they should call in the military to put down the dissidents and militants.
When asked about the recent escalation, Prime Minister Cahal Mullane of the conservative Traidisiún agus Moráltacht (Tradition and Morality) party gave the following statement:
The elections scheduled in August are expected to be a critical moment in Recent history, as it is seen that both Ár Náisiún and Sinn Oibrithe are gaining more and more support despite their path of rampant destruction. This is most likely due to the growing rift between the two ruling parties, Traidisiún agus Moráltacht and Saoirse (Freedom) which has caused gridlock in the Dáil and a stagnation of national progression. Dáil Composition
Party | Ideology | Seats | Traidisiún agus Moráltacht
| Conservative | 46 | Saoirse | Liberal | 37 | Ár Náisiún | Fascist | 24 | An Dílis
| Aurorian Church | 22 | Sinn Oibrithe | Communist | 21 |

O'Leary Brothers' Opens New Distillery World-Class Kilani Whiskey Company Expand to Wolfpine March 9, 2019
First Distillery Placed in the New Wolfpine Site
Amidst the the backdrop of rival parties battling in the Dáil and political militias and street gangs battling in the streets, the economy, and specifically the alcohol sector, has not only managed to doge a great deal of damage, but has actually found room to thrive with corporation regulation being dialed back by the conservative/liberal government and the government's attention being shifted away from commerce and to the state of anarchy which currently exists in half of Beluzia's cities. Numerous companies have used this situation to their advantage and have expanded their operations to relatively peaceful cities, the most prominent example being O'Leary Brothers' Whiskey starting up operations in the city of Wolfpine on the southern most island in the Bailon archipelago.
Since their founding in 1873, O'Leary Brothers's Whiskey has worked its way up to becoming the largest alcohol producer in Beluzia and has solidified itself on the world stage by becoming the producer of Terra's finest Kilani whiskey and a staple brand everywhere from Haldor to Kaliburg.
Earlier this month, O'Leary Brothers' announced their plans to expand their operations to the Bailon archipelago, the last province in Beluzia which has not been graced by the presence of Beluzia's most profitable company. O'Leary Brothers' ultimately chose Wolfpine to be the host of their newest site, primarily due to the recent closing of a vehicle factory their which has left two things: freshly unemployed workers and a freshly vacated factory. O'Leary Brothers' quickly bought the facility from the bankrupt company for a mere twenty million pounds, hired the company's old workforce, and installed the first of many modernized distilleries. The Wolfpine Distillery is scheduled to start production in late April.

Theocrats Defect to Fascist Party MDs from An Dílis Switch to Ár Náisiún March 20, 2019
The once dominating An Dílis (The Faithful) which has been lying in its deathbed as of late seems to have had the final nail hammered into its coffin when a caucus of twelve prominent Members of the Dáil officially left An Dílis to join Beluzia's fascist party, Ár Náisiún. The apparent reasoning behind this defection is due to the declining authority of An Dílis and the party's increased tolerance of liberalism and socialism and that Ár Náisiún fixes both of these issues without sacrificing the following of the Aurorian Church.
This unexpected boost in seats has brought Ár Náisiún up to thirty-six seats, just one less than Saoirse in second second place and has pushed An Dílis down to the smallest party in the Dáil. This switching of parties has been ruled as legal and constitutional by the Constitutional Court on the grounds that Beluzian voters elect candidates rather than parties, but it is unknown if this switch in party and ideology will prevent the twelve MDs from getting reelected in August, though recent polls do indicate that support for Ár Náisiún has continued to increase steadily and that their expected to make tremendous gains in the Dáil after the next election.

Compromise Package Passed Conservative/Liberal Government Cuts Taxes and Border Restrictions March 24, 2019
President Finnbar Connor Gives Press Cameras a Thumbs Up After the Passing of the "Compromise Package"
After a little over a week of backroom debate between the leaders of the Traidisiún agus Moráltacht and Saoirse TDs, TD Patrick Sullivan (TaM) proposed a "Compromise Package" too the Dáil that was swiftly passed by the governing parties, with only a few dissidents. The bill, which reportedly had started out with a myriad of conservative and liberal policy changes, had been boiled down to large corporation tax cuts from the TaM and a lightening of border and immigration restrictions from the Sao and has been praised by the dominant two parties as "another step on the road to unity."
However, the opposition seems to think differently. The Compromise Package may have received the support of TaM and Sao with ease, but an overwhelming majority of the opposition voted against the bill and denounced it as "evidence of corruption between the ruling political class" due to the nature of its proposal and passing. The opposition has argued that since the bill was hammered out between two parties behind closed doors that it was illegitimate and its passing was unfair. Strangely, this bill seems to have reached its apparent goal of furthering national unity, because for the first time in memory Ár Náisiún, Sinn Oibrithe, and An Dílis have come to and agreement on the same area, even if that area is denouncing the ruling parties.
Votes Regarding the "Compromise Package" by Party

Battle of Berkeley Street Fascist and Communist Militias Clash with Police in a Free-For-All Melee March 27, 2019
Constables Clear Berkeley Street of Makeshift Barricades and Bodies Following the Battle
Earlier this morning, Laochra ár Sinsear troops broke through the perimeter established by the Cirrane police between them and the protesters and militias and assaulted the police forward operating base on Berkeley Street. The fascists were soon tailed by a small group of troops from Arm na n-Oibrithe who had lead an attack against both the police and Laochra ár Sinsear. The police were quick to use this opportunity to encircle both the fascist and communist troops, and had managed to do so for several hours before the remnants of the fascist troops had managed to escape and the communists were beaten by the police's superior training, equipment, and numbers and were promptly arrested.
Timeline of the Battle 7:27 am - LaS troops break through the police perimeter and assault the Berkeley Street FOW. 7:56 am - Surprised riot police fall back to the FOW barricade. 8:13 am - AnnO troops pursue LaS troops through the police perimeter and begin to assault the LaS from behind. 8:35 am - AnnO troops manage to constrict LaS to an area of about seventy-five meters between the FOW barricade and AnnO. 9:01 am - Riot police close the orginal perimeter back up and encircle both the LaS and AnnO troops. 9:10 am - Riot police attack LaS from the FOW and AnnO from the perimeter. 9:22 am - Riot police start to squeeze the militias in while LaS takes ground from AnnO. 10:38 am - Riot police push the two fronts to within one-hundred meters of each other. 10:40 am - Battle begins to stagnate; Riot police dial back their assault while the militias build barricades and hunker down. Battle continues this way for several hours. 4:18 pm - LaS troops organize a desperate plan to escape through a weakly defended alleyway. 4:24 pm - LaS troops concentrate all of their effort on attacking the weak alleyway. 4:36 pm - LaS troops break through and hurry for the perimeter. 4:57 pm - Riot police assault AnnO positions and force them to surrender. 5:19 pm - LaS troops make it to the perimeter and retreat into the anarchy.
Casualties

President Connor Threatens Fringe Parties "One More Stunt like Berkeley Street, and I'll have AN and SO Destroyed." April 1, 2019
President Finnbar Connor Delivers Threat to AN and SO MDs
Four days following the bloody battle of Berkeley Street that resulted in the deaths of over two Beluzians, President Connor has finally released a statement on the event, but didn't back it up with any actions to prevent such a battle from happening again. President Connor simply stated that he was appalled by the violence which Beluzia has fallen into and that he denounces the belligerent Laochra ár Sinsear and Arm na n-Oibrithe. But, to the President's credit, he also gave the fascist and communist parties in the Dáil an ultimatum: Bring your militias in line, or else. That "else" option would be the forced dissolution of both Ár Náisiún and Sinn Oibrithe as well as a military crackdown on all militias, gangs, and protesters in the anarchy zone.
President Connor's Full Statement:
President Connor's statement was met with mixed opinions, with some glad that the President is finally putting his foot down on the radicals and others that believe he should back his word up with arms and that he shouldn't diminish the tragedy that occurred at Berkeley Street as a "stunt."
Ryan Driscoll, the Chairman of Ár Náisiún, was quick to issue his response to the President:

Arm na Beluzia Contracts Morrígan The National Army Switches Focus to Domestic Producers April 29, 2019
Stock of Morrígan Assault Rifles Stored at the Union Bay Factory
In an effort to assist in the development of the domestic weapons industry and the Beluzian economy, the Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with Morrígan, Beluzia's largest weapons company, to provide the Arm na Beluzia with all of its small arms and ammunition needed to be properly prepared or any threat, foreign or domestic. The colossal task would see this single company provide the weaponry and ammunition for Beluzia's 75,000 man strong standing army and the reserve army of 225,000 more soldiers. This, however, will only be the case for the ground army, the navy and air force will continue to receive a majority of their equipment from foreign companies. The advanced systems used by the Arm will also continue to be provided by foreign companies for the foreseeable future, at least until Beluzian companies achieve the capability to produce advanced systems. Upon signing this contract with Morrígan, the Ministry of Defense will pay nine-billion pounds to replace the Arm's current arsenal of small arms and ammunition, as well as pay an estimated two-billion pounds annually for restocking of ammunition and defective weapons. Not only will this contract help build Beluzia's weapon industry, but it will also save the nation money because of the decreased asking price from Morrígan and the decrease in transportation costs, which will save Beluzia an extra one billion pounds annually.

President Connor Accepts Darnussian Support President Thanks Darnussian Governor General Ruben for his Declaration of Support June 15, 2019
Still Frame from a Social Media Video of President Connor Thanking the Darnussian President for his Support
In response to the ever increasing tension between the moderate sitting government and radical opposition here in Beluzia, Governor General Marcus Ruben of Darnussia, our southeastern neighbor, has made his clear support for President Connor and the sitting TaM/S government. This backing of the controversial President seems to be coming from a place of empathy, as Darnussia is facing a similar rise in tensions between the moderate National Liberal/Truth and Justice government fringe opposition parties such as the Republican People's Party and the Communist Party, though their struggles thankfully haven't reached the level of armed gangs of street thugs roaming the capital and harrassing their political opponents.
Finally finding support from outside of his cabinet, President Connor was eager to accept the backing of General Governor Ruben and has posted a video of himself responding to the Darnussian leader on his official social media accounts shortly after releasing an official statement from the Office of the President.
Excerpt from President Connor's Video: But not all have been welcoming of this support. In Darnussia, General Governor Ruben's opposition, the RPP and CPD, have denounced Ruben's statement as they see it as "taking an overly partisan stance in the crisis across the border" (Merenbürg Gisteren). Members of the fascist and communist parties in Beluzia have also condemned Ruben's statement, as they see it as a violation of Beluzian sovereignty and unnecessary entrance into Beluzian affairs by a foreign power.

Beluzia Recognizes Kalistani Claim Beluzian Government Recognizes and Supports Kalistani Sovereignty over the Ananto Straights July 3, 2019
Blue: Kalistani Land Territory, Purple: Recognized Kalistani Sea Territory
During Kalistan's recent period of liberal rule, the Ananto Straights, which have long been closed to to foreign ships, were opened to the world by the laissez-faire Liberal Democratic Party's government and has remained opened up until last month when the straights were once again closed by the socialist government. Lying underneath the Ananto Straights is a vast supply of oil and natural gas which KalNaPeCo, the Kalistani government's oil monopoly, has been exploiting for decades. It is for the reason that the Ananto Straights form a large portion of Kalistan's economy that the Beluzian government has come out today to recognize Kalistani sovereignty over that section of the sea.
Statement from President Connor:
Members of Saoirse have spoken out against the government's willingness to allow free trade to be hindered, and members of Ár Náisiún have also spoken out against the action, but on the grounds that the government would support a leftist nation. On the other hand, numerous members of Sinn Oibrithe have come out to support the action as they see it as "rightful support of foreign socialist comrades."

2019 Elections Fringe Parties Make Gains; President Connor Reelected August 16, 2019
President Connor Upon Receiving Election Results
The results of the much anticipated elections are finally and, for those who don't follow the polls, the results are quite shocking. Beluzia's tow resident radical parties, Ár Náisiún and Sinn Oibrithe have made tremendous gains while each of the other three parties have dropped in votes. The results of the elections for the Dáil ended with Ár Náisiún seizing the plurality from Traidisiún agus Moráltacht, pushing them into becoming the second largest party. Saoirse fell to the position of fourth largest party, right behind Sinn Oibrithe. As expected, An Dílis fell to last place, receiving only a meager four seats. During this turmoil of party bickering, six independent candidates managed to win seats in the Dáil, placing their total seats two seats above the humiliated An Dílis.
Dáil Composition
Party | Ideology | Seats | Ár Náisiún | Fascist | 51 | Traidisiún agus Moráltacht | Conservative | 39 | Sinn Oibrithe | Communist | 32 | Saoirse | Liberal | 18 | Independent | Independent | 6 | An Dílis | Aurorian Church | 4 |
Miraculously, the incumbent President Connor was able to defeat Kyran Ó'Coileáin, the Ár Náisiún Presidential candidate, on the second ballot with the rallying support of the moderate and left wing parties, but only won by four percent of the vote, 52% to 48%.
Now, due to the extremely high tensions between the moderate and extreme parties, forming a government seems next to impossible. The fascists have sworn not to work with the moderates, the communists have sworn not to work with the fascists, and the moderates sworn not start any form of relation between their parties and fringe elements of the Beluzian government. Right now, the two most probable governments to be formed would come from a AN/TaM coalition or a TaM/SO/S coalition, both of which would require a great deal of cooperation in order to work out. Until then, the TaM/S government lead by Prime Minister Cahal Mullane will continue its leadership.

Fascist Putsch Laochra ár Sinsear Storm Government Buildings October 14, 2019
LaS Stormtroopers Shuffle out of Old Trucks and Storm the Dáil
Terror stuck across the nation when earlier this morning stormtoopers of the fascist militia Laochra ár Sinsear stormed government buildings across the nation with little resistance from the police and virtually none from the military. Evidently, this is the culmination of years of tension and strife between Beluzia's fascist movements and the government. After LaS stormtroops had stormed and occupied the headquarters of the Beluzian Broadcasting Corporation, Jack MacGinnis, the Marshal of the LaS and apparent leader of the putsch, took the reigns of the station and released an emergency television alert that was immediately broadcasted into the homes of every Beluzian and any foreigner who happened to be watching the BBC channel at the time of the putsch.
Marshal Jack MacGinnis' BBC Alert:
After the success of this initial phase of the putsch, numerous officers from the army and navy have come out to pledge support for the new government and have mobilized their troops to join the fascist forces of the LaS. With this large pledge of support, it is suspected that anti-fascist military officers were deterred from declaring support for the government and have decided to refrain from taking action, leaving the fascist government with little physical opposition, the only notable force up in arms against them are the troops of the Arm na n-Oibrithe, though they do not have nearly enough troops and firepower to challenge both the LaS and the military.
It has been confirmed that Prime Minister Mullane along with his cabinet and a majority of the Members of the Dáil have been captured by LaS stormtroopers and imprisoned somewhere in Cirrane, but President Connor was not seen dragged out of the Presidential Palace after LaS captued the building, and it is currently unknown whether or not he managed to escape the grasps of the LaS and the military.

Fascists Solidify Control Communist Counterrevolutionaries Crushed; Military Deployed to Luthorian Border October 27, 2019
Arm na Beluzia Troops Deployed Village on the Beluzia-Luthori Border
With the new government in power for over a week, communist dissidents have taken to the streets with weapons in hand in the hopes that they would begin their own uprising of the lower classes under the guidance of the Arm na n-Oibrithe vanguard. Instead of achieving the grand uprising of the proletariat they expected, the numbers of communist counterrevolutionaries numbered only to a little over one-thousand in addition to the long-deployed AnnO troops. However, the communists did put up a costly fight for the LaS, but were ultimately defeated, with hundreds either dead, captured, or fleeing into the countryside. Though this was a grave defeat for the communists, it is expected that they've simply fallen back to lick their wounds and may soon strike again. Until then, the fascist government is now unchallenged.
On the international scale, the new Beluzian government has already been challenged and denounced by the liberal and socialist governments of Luthori, Kalistan, and Kalkalistan. Both Luthori and Kalistan have denounced the fascist coup and have offered asylum to any Beluzian refugees who seek it. Luthori has also deployed its military to the border in order to safely screen any refugees and accept the Luthorian citizens residing within Beluzia back to their homeland if they wished to return. Rather than accepting Beluzian refugees, Kalkalistan has announced that it will be defaulting on repaying the loans it took out from the Beluzian government in the 1970s and claims it will not continue to repay them until "Beluzia changes its leaders."
In response to Luthori's military buildup on the border, Beluzian units have been deployed to the border in order to safeguard against possible Luthori aggression and screen anyone who wishes to cross the border and has been given the right to turn away Beluzian citizen away from crossing into Luthori and to turn away any non-Beluzian citizen away from Beluzia. However, as a sign of good faith, Marshal MacGinnis has ordered the troops guarding the border to allow any Luthorian citizen to return to their homeland after submitting to the proper background checks.

Beluzian Delegates to Darnussia Arrested Ambassador and his Delegation Arrested upon Return to Cirrane November 3, 2019
Darnussian Ship Carrying Beluzian Delegation (Far Left) Dock in Cirrane with LaS Troops Out of View
On November first, the Darnussian government responded to the Laochra ár Sinsear putsch after more than two weeks of rule and steadily increasing tension with foreign governments opposed to the creation of a fascist state, especially the government of Luthori who do not wish to see a threatening state on their doorsteps. Darnussia became the fourth nation to to denounce the new Beluzian state when it closed its border with Beluzia and deployed troops to patrol the border. In addition the the closing of the borders, the Darnussian government also expelled the Beluzian delegation that was sent to Doressa by the previous government.
In response to Darnussia's closing of the border, Marshal MacGinnis announced that Beluzia would also formally close its borders with Darnussia and has deployed 10,000 troops from the reserve army to patrol the Darnussian border and defend against any attacks from the "increasingly aggressive Darnussian government." This piece of a statement from Marshal MacGinnis is not without foundation, as the Darnussian government has continuously threatened the government of Kalistan with war over Kalistan's closing of the Ananto Straights to foreign militaries.
When the freshly expelled delegates from Darnussia returned home this morning, they were not met with a welcoming homecoming, but were instead promptly arrested LaS stormtroopers for treason and hauled off to the Cirrane Prison Camp where the fascist government houses its political prisoners. The reason behind these arrests is the fact that the delegation was composed entirely of members of Traidisiún agus Moráltacht and Saoirse and were appointed by their government. For being associated with banned organizations is a punishable crime under new law and the government has promised that they will arrest any more traitors who associate with liberalism or communism.
In a bizarre show of alignment, Marshal MacGinnis has responded to Darnussia's threat of war towards Kalistan with his own threat: "If you infringe upon their territory, we'll see it as an invitation to infringe upon yours, or at least destroy your navy so that you may not imperialize foreign nations." This show of support of Kalistan has boggled the minds of many people throughout Beluzia as the government has taken a staunch stance against communism and socialism, yet has guaranteed the safety of Kalistan.
When asked to give a statement on Marshal MacGinnis' threat, Interim Foreign Minister Clancy O'Mooney gave the following statement:
