Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman, Luthori's newly elected Head of Government has stated that she has great intentions of introducing progressive reform to a nation which had been battered by mainstream Conservative policy. Zimmerman's government takes over from that of former Imperial Chancellor Malcolm Temple whose Conservative Party introduced a series of austerity measures which they saw as necessary in increasing economic growth after three years of economic decline brought about by a major debt crisis. It was stated by various pundits within the political spectrum that the harsh austerity measures brought about by Temple's government had been a leading cause for his party's massive failure in the election. Temple's Conservative Party lost 45% of the vote to Zimmerman's Liberal Party who formed a coalition with the Centrist Party to secure an 85% majority within the Imperial Diet. Temple's government had entered on the backdrop of the collapse of the pound and thus instances of debt and unemployment were on a 25 year high. Temple's government was elected with this simple solution: Save money and clear your debt.
With this, Temple ordered that the government begin cutting various programmes in the name of "saving the economy". Income and household taxation had increased by almost 10% among the nation's poorest. Whilst Luthori could not have sunk into complete financial collapse amidst the debt burden mainly due to the fact that most of its debt was registered in the Luthorian Pound, then Secretary of Finance, Hal Paxton continued to press the notion that Luthori had to cancel its debt completely. Spending on various welfare programmes such as the Imperial Healthcare Executive were slashed and social services were cut in large way in some regions and economic stagnation grew. Whilst the economy has made strides in repairing itself. Imperial Chancellor Zimmerman has stated that the rate at which the economy is recovering is not fast enough to sustain continued investment. Economists have warned that if economic recovery does not occur at a faster pace, the wells of financial investment will run dry and instead of reducing its debt, Luthori's debt will rise indefinitely with the potential of bankrupting the economy.
Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman stated that she intends on unravelling the fabric of austerity within Luthori. She stated that 1.4 million people were unemployed, being marked as the highest since the economic depression of 1967. She stated that the tools necessary for pulling the nation out of economic decline amidst a debt crisis have long since been removed from the government's shelf. Thus the only option remains in the form of continued and intensified stimulus. A reverse in the various cuts made in important programmes and institutions coupled with aid from the central government. There have been rumours of a potential withholding on raising interest rates by the Bank of Luthori and allowing for inflation to rise before it stops said sponsored inflation and reintroduce large amount of economic stimulus.

Earlier this morning it was announced that Crown Petroleum and Imperial Oil would merge to create an oil and natural gas giant which will allow for better positioning to compete in the international markets in a time of national economic uncertainty, hence increasing the prospects of development through business. Crown Petroleum and Imperial Oil are Luthori's largest oil and natural gas companies, having been formed by two competing cousins, Clarence Marfont (Crown Petroleum) and Marshall Greaves (Imperial Oil). The partnership is expected to operate out of Fort William under the name of the Crown Petroleum Company and will be involved with retail, refining and production activities throughout the world. If partnership is approved by the Ministry of Fiance and the Economy, it will create the largest oil and natural gas company in Luthori and one of the largest oil and natural gas companies in Artania.
The merger, according to statements from Crown Petroleum who is leading the merger, is share-based reflecting the current economic situation. Crown Petroleum's shareholders will own a 50% share in the company with Imperial Oil's current shareholders owning the other 50%. Crown Petroleum's CEO Stanley Day, stated that the increased potential means that the company will be able to focus on expanding operations outside of the Luthorian and Artanian shelves, with rising interest in the Trigunian and Kalistani shelves being hinted by Day during an interview months prior. Mr. Day stated that it was the company's intention to prevent a foreign takeover as had occurred in the timber industry whereby Luthori's largest timber company, Bolton Timber was acquired by a New Luthorian company and almost 60% of Luthorian workers were laid off. Whilst the government has stated that it intends on opening an Inquiry into the issue, it is highly unlikely that it will re-acquire the company recognising the current economic turmoil.
It is expected that various projects championed by Imperial Oil prior to the merger will be continued. Prior to the merger, Imperial Oil had been involved in compressed natural gas activities, providing a cleaner form of natural gas to petrol stations across Luthori and the wider world. Through its subsidiary company, the Imperial CNG, it has led the way in promoting increased use of compressed natural gas as a means of offering a cheaper alternative to natural gas. Imperial CNG's President, Alexander Cookstated that he hoped that the company would be allowed to branch out into more bio-fuels, a proposal which Cook himself pushed for during a meeting with the merger committee. Cook stated that it was his intention to get the company into potentially using industrial hemp as a bio-fuel. With the recent announcement that the Kalistani Government had restored ODEN (Organisation of Drug Exporting Nations), the potential for cooperation between Imperial CNG (now Crown CNG) and ODEN on the prospects of bio-fuel through Industrial Hemp can be materialised/actualised.

The Ministry of Defence, on the backdrop of its modernisation programme for the armed forces and a drive towards cost effective solutions, announced that it would be decommissioning both the HIMS-Discovery and HIMS-Reycliff aircraft carriers and stripping them for scrap metal. The move by the Ministry of Defence comes as it recognises the maintaining the two aircraft carriers would be far too costly with the future systems modernisation programme already in action. The aircraft carriers will be stripped for scrap metal and repurposed into a museum. To maintain two aircraft carriers, according to a report by the Defence Material Agency, costed the Ministry of Defence around 12 million annually, with the aforementioned price not taking the maintenance of the vessels engines, armaments and systems which have all since become obsolete. The decommissioning of the aircraft carriers comes as a serious blow to the Imperial Navy which has had its entire fleet either mothballed or in dry-docks for maintenance. Since the beginning of Chief of Defence General Vincent Reynolds' (IA) command over the armed forces, several units of equipment have been sent for upgrades or decommissioning. Just recently, the Imperial Navy said goodbye to its fleet of Series 100 frigates, after they were settled in several coastal regions across the world to create artificial reefs. Defence Analyst Arthur Roberts stated that the Imperial Navy has in a gradual state of decline as the fleet smaller and smaller as the years progress. Chief of the Admiralty, First Sea Lord Donald Harrison rebuffed this statement, citing the actions taken by the MoD and the Chief of Defence as "necessary towards the development of the capabilities of the Imperial Navy."
Meanwhile, the need for stabilising naval presences has been growing. With tensions growing once more in the international domain amidst the collapse of Pax Septentrionalem, once more nations are going against the established global peace and with tensions peeking in Dovani and with Luthori set to become involved via an international coalition, the need for a formidable naval presence is needed. The Imperial Navy's Series 500 destroyers are currently in dry docks receiving systems upgrades to their engines, combat systems and armaments. Currently, the Imperial Navy's fleet of Series 400 frigates are the work horses of the Imperial Navy's capabilities. Having undergone a modernisation programme years prior, the frigates have almost reached their maximum number of modernisation programmes before they have to be decommissioned. The Imperial Navy is awaiting for the much needed defence spending boost and the completion of the Series 500 destroyer modernisation programme to begin introducing replacement systems for existing vessels.

Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman landed in Dorvik, making it her first state visit since becoming Imperial Chancellor last month, to discuss matters pertaining to trade and regional integration. Amidst the increasing clout of Luthori's role in the international domain, the government in Haldor has assumed the principle position as "guarantor of Artania". With populism on the rise in several nations within the region, the sentiment of regional integration is becoming increasingly stronger in the more globalist nations including Dorvik and Luthori. The Imperial Chancellor when speaking with members of the media stated that amidst the rise of populism in a region which clearly needs closer cooperation, nations must push back against the tide, citing that export-oriented economies such as Luthori's are extremely dependent in globalisation and has benefited greatly from free trade and increasing interconnectedness throughout the world. The Chancellor is stretching her hands not only to the government in Haldor when she is championing regional integration but to governments in Dundorf, Beluzia and Narikaton. In pushing for regional integration she stated she wants to appeal to the more penny-pinching, economically beleaguered nations of the region, pushing for increased multi-partisan involvement in the shaping a more united Artania.
In discussing regional integration with State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss, the Imperial Chancellor stated that a political union was not feasible. She cited the fact that within Artania exist nations who would view the sentiment of regional integration through a political union as too soon. The Chancellor prior to her visit spoke to several leaders of Artanian nations where she discussed the formation of a customs union for Artania. In speaking with these leaders she stated that a customs union would not compromise of sovereignty of the nations existing within it and will serve its principle purpose of promoting trade and economic cooperation effectively. In recognising that forming a customs unions would need extreme amounts of effort, cooperation and trust, Zimmerman stated that Dorvik (as Artania's strongest economy) needs to understand that they will have to contribute more than others. Her plan stands a chance of forming the basis for a potential political union. The Foreign Minister stated that Luthori will pledge the necessary resources to the formation of the proposed customs union. Whilst she championed the formation of a capital market union, she stated that such a move would need level of integration which the region wasn't ready nor equipped for. She stated that in the eventual future it is her intention to gather the nations of Artania to discuss its formation and hopefully implementation.
Aside from discussing regional integration, Zimmerman discussed increased trade between Luthori and Dorvik. As mentioned prior, the Dorvish economy is the largest in Artania and with her government seeking to enhance Luthori's economic potential, Dorvish investment into Luthori was discussed. As outlined by the Finance Minister Lily-Mae Fishburn's The Fishburn Papers 1 (Strategies for the Future of the Luthorian Economy), support for increased bilateral agreements between partners was stressed. In wanting to the sentiment that Luthori possessed a specialised economy, the Finance Minister and Foreign Minister are pushing for foreign investment into Luthori to make such a visualisation possible. Finance Minister Fishburn introduced a financial potential target to the Imperial Diet stating than Luthori must make over 150 Billion LPD from exports and trade by 4525. Business with Dorvik could potential see Luthori reach this target earlier than expected with the possibility of surpassing the target cap by a large margin.
Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman alongside her Dorvish counterpart in the form of State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss have pledged to strengthen and solidify existing defence cooperation, well beyond the spectrum of information sharing. On the third day of her visit to the Dorvik capital of Haldor, the Imperial Chancellor met with various high-ranking officials within both the Dorvish Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence. Alongside Dorvish War Minister Generaladmiral Domenikus von Lÿndow-Sennhein she credited relative cooperation between the governments in Haldor and Fort William as being the foundation for cooperation and long-lasting peace on the Artanian continent. The Imperial Chancellor stated that her visit to Haldor provided great potential for an enhanced defence cooperation agreement between Dorvik and Luthori which will provide a framework and space for an expanded/enhanced defence relationship between the two nations. With the Luthorian Armed Forces within a transition towards a force becoming of Luthori's increasing role in the international community and its increased commitments to defence within the commonwealth, particularly Keymon, the need for cooperation among Luthori's Artanian neighbours is extremely important. Chief of the Imperial General Staff, General Vincent Reynolds, stated that Luthori had to be re-establish its place as a serious and major military power throughout the international community. He noted that the armed forces' current state is unsustainable recognising the mounting obligations.
Minister of Defence, Laurence Gambert-Smith has expressed great interest in joint cooperation in a range of programmes from aerospace defence to cybernetic security. The Government Communications Service (GCS) is on the cutting edge of signals intelligence within Luthori. Its primary function is to provide information assurance to the government and armed forces. A recent Security Review by the Ministry of Home Affairs highlighted that Luthori must maintain its global edge in the fields of cybernetic defence and intelligence. The review stated that without cooperation among Artanian nations Luthori is vulnerable to cybernetic attack, as threats posed against the empire cybernetic-ally, can be derailed through high levels of cooperation between Artanian intelligence agencies. Alongside the Chancellor were various executives representing some of Luthori's largest defence firms. Companies such as SlipStream, Leyland-Granholm, Pennington-Reid, APW and Dalton were present to promote cooperation among Luthorian and Dorvish companies. Among the various companies present, SlipStream was the most active, pushing for a closer relationship with the Artanian Defence Group (ADG). SlipStream is a major weapons manufacturer in Luthori with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics. SlipStream has developed the majority of Luthori's missiles and aerospace defence systems.
The Imperial Chancellor, prior to returning to Fort William, called for increased integration between the Luthorian and Dorvish Armed Forces, citing this new relationship between the two nations. The Dorvish Armed Forces is the largest of its kind on the Artanian continent. With the Luthorian Armed Forces set to enter a phase of relative modernisation, the Imperial Chancellor stated that it was imperative that Luthori did not slip into to a state of insignificance. The Imperial Chancellor proposed a mutual defence agreement between Luthori and Hutori, calling for the formation a joint military formation. The Imperial Chancellor spoke on power competition within the region. She stated that she had no intentions of competing with Dorvik for relevance within the region. Political and Geopolitical analysts of the like have warned of the return of great power competition in the region amidst the jump-starting of both Dorvik and Luthori. Historically, through diplomatic channels the two nations have attempted to maintain an edge over the other geopolitically. Chancellor Zimmerman stated that on the backdrop of her drive towards promoting regional integration, there was no room for great power competition, citing the very sentiment of dangerous to long-term peace within the region. She concluded by saying that she wouldn't tolerate any sentiment of great power competition from nations within Artania, citing the fact that there is more to geopolitics than great power competition. "Spheres of influence are not important to me, for they breed great power competition. Artania should not and does not have to be divided into relative influential spheres."

The Luthorian Armed Forces is expected to undergo a massive overhauling, including structural changes and the implementation of practical technologies and the formation of a new doctrine that would alter the way the Luthorian Armed Forces wages conflicts, trains and communicates on a strategic basis. This was announced by the Office of the Chief of Defence, who placed an emphasis on the importance of the reorganisation of the armed forces amid the shifting international landscape. According to an official from Carlton House, although the Luthorian Armed Forces was in the process of transitioning for defensive to expeditionary, various structural elements from its period of "total and unconditional defence" remain and are actively plaguing the combat effectiveness and general structure of the armed forces. One of these core issues come in the distribution of troops within the armed forces. Due to the fact that previously commanders have placed an extreme emphasis on the defence of Luthori, the nation's rapid reaction capabilities has been significantly reduced. Although it has been cited that the size of the Imperial Marines had been "feasible," General Vincent stated that the Imperial Marines must be expanded.
According to an official from the Office of the Chief of Defence, although the global landscape is changing, the chances of squaring off with a rival military has not been reduced but has increased as the armed forces takes on intensified international obligations. “The Armed Forces, specifically the Land Forces are a huge mass of troops and adapting them to the conditions of modern warfare is expensive and difficult,” an official from the Ministry of Defence stated. The armed forces has spent the last millennia securing its strategic interests and putting into motion various contingency plans for specific scenarios expected within their respective environments. This spans from the Arctic to the nation's regional obligations. Although the threat of organised paramilitary organisation hangs over the head of the armed forces as it is surrounded by nations that promote the idea (whilst it is an offence to form or be a member of a paramilitary/militia organisation), the reorganisation intends on taking this factor into consideration greatly as the nation seeks to expand its involvement in international specifically in the fight against international communism and fascism.
The reorganisation programme is intended to focus on placing the armed forces in a position that would enable for it to capitalise on its current equipment. According to the MoD, the armed forces needs to "shake off" its defensive posture and champion its expeditionary posture. Minister of Defence, Graham Whitehead stated that the procurement of additional combat equipment, was not done as a means of adding the aesthetics of the armed forces. He stated that although the armed forces had utilised the equipment, it had been done in a manner in which one would say is reminiscent of a defence force rather than an expeditionary armed forces. This defensive tendency could also be tied to the fact that the armed forces has ran into multiple issue whether it pertains to oversees deployment and its mobilisation to conflict zone outside of Artania. It has been argued that the armed forces' mobilisation and deployment to conflict zones within the region is something other nations are actively attempting to mimic, however the downfall lies in deployments outside of the region, where logistics comes into play. It is hoped that the reorganisation programme addresses the issue and brings the aforementioned issues to an end.
On the backdrop of the Luthorian Government continued administration over Keymon, Secretary of State for Commonwealth and Imperial Affairs, Sidney Wallace has stated that the government intends on supporting a proposed economic transformation coined Vision 2050. The proposed agreement outlines a series of plans set to develop Keymon underneath the proposed "economic transformation". It was unveiled yesterday that the Luthorian Economic Development Commission intends on assisting the Keymonite Government, specifically the Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport, on a much needed expansion of the Halanamo International Airport with the inclusion of two additional terminals and the construction of an additional runway. The estimated cost of the project which has already been agreed upon by the Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport is expected to be around Ⱡ15 billion with additional refurbishments to existing infrastructure adding another Ⱡ5 billion on-top of the Ⱡ15 billion. This infrastructure project is apart of Keymon's drive towards becoming an innovation and financial centre in Seleya. With assistance from investment from the Luthorian Government, it is hoped that the transformation of Keymon from a planned economy to a stringent free market capitalist economy. The hands on approach by the Luthorian Government comes amidst Fort William is beginning to tighten its grip on the Imperial Commonwealth for which Keymon is a member. With the Luthorian economy on a steady stream towards recovery, the prospects of foreign direct investment into the commonwealth is mounting.
The new terminals to be constructed underneath the project are expected to hold around 20 international gates with the intentions of servicing larger aircraft which were unable to "dock"/"gate" at the current gates which are far too small. The existing terminals 1 and 2 are expected to be refurbished with the intention of increasing the airport's capacity. Apart from increased capacity, new security solutions are expected to be trialled at the airport once construction has been completed. Various screening lanes, body scanners and passport control measures are expected to be rolled out after construction. Dylan Fletcher, Project Manager, stated that the airport's construction had to be modular in-order to accommodate for future projects. A modular makeup of the airport would allow for ease of modernisation in the future as large areas can be easily moved around, expanded and/or removed based on the needs/desires of future modernisation ideas. A series of airlines are expected to assist in the project alongside public/government works. Pixi Airlines, Commonwealth Airways Luthorian Airlines and CamdunAir are expected to build sections within the proposed terminals. The construction will increase Halanamo International Airport Terminals from 3 to 5 with a unique outlook an accommodating for wide-body aircraft.
around Ⱡ600 million has been set aside to rehabilitate the airport's two existing runways. Overtime, runways 1R and 1L had become damaged due to weathering and lack of maintenance. With the airport expecting to accommodate for increased traffic, the need for a runway which is capable of handling both the weight the aircraft and constant use the runway by increased traffic is henceforth extremely important. While plans for a high-speed taxiway have been proposed, Mr. Fletcher shoot down assumptions and rumours that the high-speed taxiway would be built alongside the new runway, stating that whilst the idea was considered its implementation is not within the foreseeable future. It is the intention of the Luthorian Economic Development Commission to transform Keymon into a bridge between Artania and Seleya. With both continents rapidly becoming the two largest markets on terra, the prospects of Keymon being the bridge between these two developing regions has the potential to trigger a major innovation and economic expansion within the nation. Luthori's involvement in the Artanian Union and the large amount of potential economic advantages coming out of such a union, a potential connection between Luthori's AU economics and it's outlook for Keymon could potentially intertwine.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Lodamese Commonwealth Army, General Eric Bishop took the formal oaths earlier this morning as he became Lodamon's 35th Governor-General in a ceremony held at Carmichael House. Emperor Alexis I administered the oaths to the former General to a resounding applause by hundreds of Lodamese audience members, including Prime Minister Michael Carsten and his cabinet. Bishop swore the oaths of allegiance to the Luthorian crown and the Lodamese people, having accepted the role as Governor-General and Keeper of the Seal of Lodamon. The audience included former Prime Minister, former Governor-General Patrick Taylor's family, Prince Peter of Luthori and Princess Angela of Luthori. The ceremony was personally orchestrated by Emperor Alexis I, in an attempt to illustrate to the Lodamese people that there is relevance and meaning in his presence as the nation's head of state. Whilst the Emperor refused to speak the media, the Imperial Household press office stated that the Emperor was extremely pleased in appointing General Eric Bishop as his representative in Lodamon.
Prime Minister Michael Carsten spoke about the achievements of General Bishop during his tenure as Military Attache in Luthori and Commander-in-Chief of the Lodamese Commonwealth Army. Prime Minister Carsten stating that he served Lodamon "gloriously" and "valiantly" in peacekeeping deployments across the world. There are various "perks" to being the Governor-General of Lodamon, the Luthorian Emperor's Representative in Lodamon. A recent government report outlining the various economic hardships faced by Luthorians during the reign of the previous administration sparked the interest of the government when it concluded that income inequality among Luthorians had increased and as a result had driven out small business and larger businesses of the sort. In response to the report, Minister of Finance Lily-Mae Fishburn met with various members of Luthorian Small Businesses Association and the Fort Williams Chamber of Commerce where she outlined her initiative to form a development bank in order to form a government funded response to income inequality and the effects of the economic hardship in the business sector.
Minister Wiggins met with Philip English, President of the Luthorian Small Businesses Association and Julie Nelson President of the Fort Williams Chamber of Commerce on the premise of government support to small businesses. When the incumbent conservative party had been initially in government, it had supported small businesses throughout various anti-small business reforms and taxation regimes. Minister Wiggins stated that she intends on bringing back the government support for small businesses as the previous government had not recognise their untapped potential in boosting the nation's economic output. Incumbent Chairman of the Luthorian Development Bank and former economist Aiden Turner announced to members of the media that the initial focus plan of the LDB is to champion the government initiative on supporting small businesses and ensuring economic stability for citizens during the transition towards a stable economy. He called upon larger companies such as the Crown Petroleum Company, Hatfield & Caldwell and various other companies in the developed industrial and defence sectors to stand up and take the mantle in pushing the notion of income equality in the business sector. Turner told members of the media that the people are going to have to get up and get the work done. He said: "This government seems to be on that is not going to be tucking the people in bed at night. It is going to be the government that will bring you half-way and you will have to do the rest." The Development Bank, according to officials from the Ministry of Finance had received an investment of 20 billion pounds from the revenue earned by the government after privatising some state-owned companies such the Crown Petroleum Company. The investment is aimed towards enabling the Development Bank to finance the various initiatives which it will soon champion.
HLBC FirstImperial Bank of Commerce announced its intentions to transform Jamestown into a technology hub via the construction of the bank's technology and data centres in the city. FIBC intends on hiring 5,000 people through this venture which had been finalised with the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce. The Ketymonite subsidiary of Luthorian mega-bank, HLBC (Hutorian/Luthorian Banking Corporation), will become the largest employer in Jamestown after the central government. Chairman of FIBC Damion King stated that Jamestown offered unique opportunity for the banking firm's expansion. At average the bank's jobs in its future "Plumeria Centre" could potentially pay up to $200,000 based on job requirements. King said that both HLBC Baltusia and FirstImperial are likely to share the facility, thus leading to the assumption that the facility to be constructed by FirstImperial with some assistance from HLBC Baltusia is expected to be large, around 1 million square feet (22 acres). The Plumeria Centre will house FirstImperial's data centres which will service for the entire region of Seleya and will similarly host HLBC Baltusia's new headquarters. HLBC Baltusia's move from Turtle Bay to Jamestown comes amid an agreement with Jamestown Chamber of Commerce to assist in the gentrification of Jamestown. Hunakai Mahina, Keymon-born CFO of FIBC stated that he had requested various grants and tax incentives from the Mayor of Jamestown.
Amidst the attempt to gentrify Jamestown, the real estate arm of FIBC is set to expand deeper into Fremont's property market. The acquisition of Leolani & Paul by FIBC Real Estate will triple its revenue and add around 200 staff to its operations. The housing market in Jamestown had slowed down significantly due to little foreign investment, however FIBC's introduction comes as a turning point for the city. This comes as HLBC Baltusia and FIBC are moving to gentrify and increase property value in the city amidst the company's intention to transform the city into a functional technical hub. Damion King called upon both the central government and the Jamestown City Corporation to make provisions allowing for businesses to the established easier in the state. He also called for Chief Executive Kalili Makaio to offer tax incentives to small business enterprises and companies with intentions to base operations in the city. FIBC is rapidly becoming the rising star in Keymon's financial sector with its Chairman Damion King being ranked by CDS as one of the richest men in Keymon.
Alongside this it was announced that HLBC intends on opening an office of its private wealth management bank in New Endralon. FirstImperial Wealth Management focuses on serving high net worth customers with various financial and wealth management services. The proposed office in Giurgiu will become the Keymon-based bank's first foreign office. The move comes as apart of a major expansion push by Chairman of HLBC FirstImperial Bank of Commerce, Damion King to open around 50 offices of subsidiaries and sections of the bank by 2030. The opening of the office in Giurgiu would see around 1,000 persons become employed by the Bank in the city. FirstImperial is seleya's fastest growing banking firm as it mainly capitalises on the lack of sound financial management and planning firms on the Seleyan continent. The bank is a subsidiary of the larger, Hutorian/Luthorian Banking Corporation (the largest private investment bank and financial services company in the Northern Hemisphere). FirstImperial Asset Management is expected to be led by Aiden O'Brien, a Luthorian-national and former national managing director of HLBC Luthori. FirstImperial Asset Management (New Endralon) will tend to individuals, family offices, foundations and endowments throughout the region of Keris and Macon.

Windsor plc, has recently announced that it intends on entering the automotive industry with a special subsidiary. Earlier this morning, the Company's Board of Directors announced the formation of the Windsor Automotive Company where it also revealed two production concepts for luxury vehicles. Windsor has been predominantly operating in the aerospace and shipping building industry, having built engines for cargo ships and combat aircraft, including the Windsor WSR-16 gas turbine engine used in the Imperial Navy's Series 500 Destroyers. The Orange based company intends on transforming its business model through the production of Luxury vehicles. Windsor stated that it intends on opening factories throughout Orange, Portschester and Kinwood. Through these factories the company intends on employing around 5,000 people. Windsor is currently cooperating with Deronda and Daxton on the construction of the facilities needed to the develop Windsor's new series of luxury vehicles.
The Windsor - Shadow
The Windsor - Bodach
Windsor hopes on capitalising on the lack of luxury vehicles in the Artanian markets and assures that it will be of the highest quality. The company stated that it does not intend on being entangled with the iniquities of modern automotive manufacturing. In the vehicle's brochure it said: "Nothing is allowed to compromise the ride of the car. The childishness of automotive terms such as "sporty" and "handling" are of the most vulgar of statements, especially when said in the same sentence of the Windsor Shadow or the Bodach." The Shadow will start at around 450,000 pounds. Unlike other car companies the top of the range version is the only version of the car, lending to the Windsor's philosophy that nothing should be allowed to pervert the style and feel of the car. The Bodach will start at around 400,000 pounds and similar to the Shadow, the top of the range version is the only version of the car. Both vehicles will be powered by 6.6L V12 engines to be developed by Windsor's engineers.
The Imperial Household has expressed interest in the vehicles, particularly the Shadow, with Emperor Alexis I stating that he finds the car "rather elegant and simplistic". The Emperor's official car will be the Shadow, with the Hyperion Security stating that it intends on giving the vehicle "the works". It is expected that the Emperor's estately Shadow, will possess bulletproof tires and windows, blast persistent doors and undercarriage. The Emperor's personal blessing of the new car company marks a major success for its first time.

Surge Microsystems has expanded its footprint with the opening of a $150 million facility in Lodamon. According to statements from Surge Micro-systems, the facility will offer high-volume production. The company intends on maximising the potential of three (3) dimensional printers in its production process. According to the company, 3D printing allows for rapid production and is cheaper. A majority of Surge Micro-system's products are mainly used in industrial processes such as the production of cellular devices. This new facility will be the company's first attempt at automation. Previously the company had plans to open a multi-billion dollar factory with the intention of employing over 1,000 workers, the proposed factory will only need around 100 employees as most of the difficult processes will be conducted by robots being developed by students from the University of Fort William and the Westhampton Technological College. In line with Luthori's push towards smart manufacturing, it is expected the company will partner with various companies in the region to continue to push the product of affordable semiconductors, citing overpriced semiconductors as "ridiculous" and "scam-like".
Surge Micro-systems is a medium-sized company which has been thrown into immediate internationalisation. It products, particularly its wafers have a wide range of applications among industrial and commercial platforms. From passports to radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags. The company has stated that in the Lodamon facility, it intends on toying with the idea of producing ship sets for car infotainment, in-vehicle networks, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications, secure car access, as well as authentication control and sensors. Alternative solutions company "Volt" has hinted of a potential take over of Surge micro-systems, however CEO of Surge Microsystems, Elias Matthews stated that he was unaware of such sentiments. Defence Contractor Leyland Granholm has been contracted by the Ministry of Defence to modernise systems of the Imperial Navy's fleet of Series 500 destroyers. Amidst the decline of the Imperial Navy, its fleet of Series 500 destroyers has been on the decline due to a lack of maintenance and modern combat systems. The modernisation programme is set to be worth around Ⱡ6 Billion pounds, and would see the implementation of new combat systems and armaments to complement the shift in the Imperial Navy's operational policy. Underneath the banner of Project Trojan, the destroyer's engines, main gun, combat integration systems and defences will be enhanced to ensure that the destroyers maintain their global edge. According to Leyland Granholm, it will be cooperating with companies such as SlipStream and Viserby Systems to develop new systems for the destroyers. Minister of Defence Spencer King stated that the modernisation programme operates along the lines of the general modernisation and rearmament of the Luthorian Armed Forces following the recent White Paper. According to the Defence Minister, the programme is set to cover all fifteen (15) destroyers with the HIMS Vengeful set to receive the first round of new systems, armaments and technologies.
The vessel is run by a Windsor WSR-16 gas turbine engine which enables it to reach a range in excess of 7,000 nautical miles. At present, the propulsion uses two diesel generators to produce high voltage electric power, which then runs a pair of induction motors that propel the ship. Due to lack of maintenance said engines have been reduced in their operational capacity, with a recent sea trial of the HIMS Vengeful revealing several engine failures. Windsor Motors has stated that the new generators and electrical systems will help prevent a total breakdown in the event of a turbine failure. Windsor is in the process of building an intercooler-recuperator that will be more reliable and successfully tested the first prototype system in the coming months. Maintaining the reliability and competitive edge of the Series 500 destroyers are of great importance to the Imperial Navy. According to First Sea Lord Donald Harrison, "the Series 500 destroyer is the backbone of the Imperial Navy, provided cutting edge technologies and systems capable of ensuring the security of our nation's interests." An official from SlipStream, the Series 500's Eel Missiles will be replaced with a modular missile being developed cooperatively with Viserby Systems coined the Sea Strider.SlipStream and Leyland Granholm have secured contracts worth around Ⱡ1 billion pounds from the Luthorian Armed Forces for new combat munitions ranging from guided munitions to anti-aircraft systems. The contract requires the two companies to produce new munitions for the Imperial Army, Navy and Air-Force. Amidst decades of mismanagement and neglect, millions of units of munitions once held by the Luthorian Armed Forces have since become obsolete and thus cannot be used. With the Luthorian Armed Forces expected to join an international coalition that could potentially see combat in Dovani against Axis forces, Chief of Defence General Vincent Reynolds (IA) stressed on the importance of the Luthorian Armed Forces fielding the most capable and cost effective systems and munitions. The programme is set to last for the next 30-50 years, as it is set to cover munitions used by Imperial Army's land systems, the navy's weapons systems and the air-force's fixed-wing aircraft. The first round of munitions to be produced for the armed forces is a replacement to the B111-HEAT (High-Explosive Anti Tank) round with the proposed F101-HESH (High-explosive squash head) munition for the Samaritan 2 main battle tank. According to the Imperial Armoured Corps, the Z111-HEAT round has a decreased penetrating power due to the rifling on the F5 105mm smoothbore gun used on the Samaritan 2.
Leyland Granholm, the company set to make ground forces munitions stated that it intends on providing high-quality, low cost solutions to the munitions problem as identified by the Imperial General Staff. Leyland Granholm has been responsible for the production of the F10 APFSDS round used by both the Samaritan 1 and the Samaritan 2. The ground forces portion of the overarching programme would see the recapitalisation of existing systems to extend their lifetime, until the Imperial General Staff can source a replacement, thus citing Leyland Granholm's prior statements that it will not be replacing all munitions used by the ground forces, but will replace those in dire need of replacement and will recapitalise existing systems which are capable of having their lifetime extended. SlipStream is set to begin development on the proposed GBM-11 "Shot-put" guided munition which will replace the H11 "Pathway". Although no information has been disclosed as to the either of the two companies proposed munitions for the navy, unconfirmed reports stated that a tertiary company called Foxholm Dynamics is set to develop a Luthorian anti-ship missile coined the "Marlin".

The Ministry of Defence announced the Land Systems Acquisition Programme (LSAP) with the intention of enabling the Luthorian Armed Forces to maintain a global edge among various nations, both regionally and internationally. As of recent, the Government has been pouring investment in the Luthorian Armed Forces as a means of preparing it for a major transition as outlined by the "White Paper of the Future of the Luthorian Armed Forces (2018)." The white paper hints that the Luthorian Armed Forces will undergo a major reorganisation programme with the specific intention of crafting a global fighting force. Minister of Defence Anthony Redmond stated that the Ministry of Defence had requested quotations on the acquisition of around 1,000 Boxer mechanised infantry vehicles for the Imperial Army. Kasmetall AG's Boxer was chosen by the Ministry of Defence as a means of crafting a rapid reaction for the purposes of high intensity conflict. Doctrines have already been outlined for combat in various regions, and the Boxer players an extremely important role in the Dovanian Doctrine. Combat within Dovani falls between two extremely specific parameters, high intensify operations and high mobility operations. High intensify operations such as major tank engagements are rare in the region, with the most common being high mobility operations involving battles between forces which are widely dispersed and often lightly armed.
On the backdrop of the Boxer announcement the Ministry of Defence also announced the Life Extension Programme for the Samaritan 2 main battle tank. According to the White Paper the Samaritan 2, whilst in its current form is still an extremely capable main battle tank, amidst doctrine shift, major upgrades are needed to the tanks systems, armour and engine. Kingston Dynamics which built the Samaritan 2 has conducted an assessment of the tank's systems and has concluded that its thermal imaging, turret systems and armour are in need of a "beefing". The emergence of new threats in the form of more advanced main battle tanks from various nations, pits the Samaritan at odds. "In regions where tank engagements are common, an upgraded Samaritan 2 can and will dominate," the white paper concluded. Leyland-Granholm, Viserby Systems and Kingston Dynamics have jumped onto the programme to provide a better main gun, an active protection system and upgrades to armour and the engine respectively. According to the MoD the life-extension programme to ensure that the Imperial Army's 500 Samaritan tanks are upgraded to a standard ensuring its global prowess. The Samaritan 2's top secret Colchester Armour has allowed for it to assume the place as one of the most capable tanks ever built.
Cooperation between Westward-Hagland and the Mordusian company Grupo Ortega have begun on the development of a new Infantry Fighting Vehicle for the Imperial Army. The Ministry of Defence has longed for variety/diversity in its fleet of Infantry Fighting Vehicles. The presenceof the Chariot (Warrior) which has served within the Imperial Army for more than 30 years is Luthori's only Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Westward-Hagland, the company responsible for developing the Chariot has stated that aside from upgrading the Chariot it intends on rolling out a new series of infantry fighting vehicles. The joint venture with Grupo Ortega, Mordusia' largest weapons manufacturer comes amidst Luthorian interest in the design and capabilities of the company's new AXOL infantry attack vehicle (IAV). Under the name of the Jackal Infantry fighting vehicle, Westward-Hagland intends on developing new infantry fighting vehicle for the Imperial Army.

Beluzia was plunged into a political crisis which has threatened to spill across the region after the Beluzian Government was overthrown by fascist militants, promoting the Luthorian Government to convene the National Security Council. In the first successful coup in Artania in more than one hundred years, fascist militants stormed government offices across Beluzia with little resistance from local police and the Beluzian Armed Forces. The lack of resistance of the part of Beluzia's Armed Forces coupled with its revealed role in the coup have led to the conclusion that the military had been colluding with the fascist militia. Prime Minister Cahal Mullane and members of his cabinet and the wider parliament are currently being held by the fascist militia which calls itself "Laochra ár Sinsear". The amount of firepower massed on the part of the Laochra ár Sinsear has been viewed by many as questionable, with many raising the question of how and where the amount of firepower yielded by the militia had been sourced. Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman convened the National Security Council to discuss the situation and to form an official government response to the developing situation. The National Security consists of high-ranking members of the Imperial Cabinet. Posterior to the meeting with the National Security Council, Imperial Chancellor Zimmerman spoke to members of the media where she said
Although the Imperial Chancellor echoed the sentiment of calm, the Western Command of the Luthorian Armed Forces have begun to deploy troops along the border with Beluzia to deter assist the Border Protection Agency on handling the situation which will soon see large amounts of Beluzians heading to the border regions to escape persecution. The Imperial Chancellor stated that she "outright" condemns the fascist takeover but will continue to monitor the situation. She stated that was concerned the safety of President Finnbar Connor and Prime Minister Cahal Mullane, championing that Luthori will grant political asylum to President Connor and Prime Minister Mullane. (4th Battalion, The Hermons) and (2nd Battalion, Royal Orange Regiment) of the Imperial Army have been sent the sent to the border to assist.

Earlier this morning the Ministry of Defence announced that it had reached an agreement with the Artanian Defence Group on the procurement of an additional 100 Tornado GR4 multi-role fighters. The Ministry of Defence stated that the agreement covered the procurement of 100 twin seat aircraft, after the MoD concluded in a report that the single-seat variant of the aircraft was not to the specifications of the Imperial Air Force as set by the Standards and Appropriations Charter. The deal is based on a government to corporation accord to be signed between the Ministry of Defence and the Artanian Defence Group in the coming days. Luthori is a key partner in the Tornado programme, having worked alongside Dorvik on the aircraft's development. Whilst the Luthorian Government has been fighting for licence production to the aircraft, the MoD has stated that the relationship remains whereby Luthori will have to procure the aircraft from ADG. SlipStream, the Luthorian company responsible for major component of the aircraft's avionics including radar and weapons systems, stated that it intends on upgrading the entire fleet of 50+ 100 Tornado GR4s for the Imperial Air Force.
The decision to procure additional numbers of the multi-role aircraft which doubles as an interceptor and a strike aircraft, comes as the Imperial Air Force moves to modernise its aerospace defence capabilities. With the Imperial Air Force set to receive advanced weapons in the form of new guided munitions, the need for more strike aircraft to use the munitions is henceforth necessary. The Joint Select Committee on Defence Appropriations debated the acquisition of the aircraft, particularly the 3 billion pound agreement to procure 100 of the aircraft. As mentioned prior, the Imperial Air Force currently operates 50 of the Tornado GR4 aircraft. Whilst when Luthori joined the Tornado programme it had initially entered with 300 aircraft pre-order, however due to the success of the Unionfighter programme, Government has scaled down the order to around 200. This means that to complete the pre-order, Luthori has the option to order an additional 50 in the future. With the Luthorian Armed Forces set to the enhance the capabilities of the Luthorian Forces - Keymon and the holistic defence of Keymon, it is expected that Tornado GR4s will be seen at IAF Winthrope. It is expected the first batch will arrive in middle 2020 with the agreement set to be completed in 2023.

Foreign Minister Jordan Tannenbay stated that he alongside Darnussian Foreign Minister Pieter Van Jarraday have agreed to increase pressure on the Beluzian fascist regime with the aim of enacting progressive change within the nation. Foreign Minister Tannenbay met with his Darnussian counterpart on the sidelines of a cultural exchange tour in a bid to seek a common approach to the situation developing in Beluzia. Amidst the mounting clout of fascism within Beluzia and the radical militancy associated with the fascist government which toppled the democratically elected government months prior, the Holy Luthori Empire and the Darnussian Republic are becoming increasingly concern for the geopolitical mess which could be fostered out of the solidifying of fascist sentiment within the region. As of recent, the putsch government had arrested its own delegation to Darnussia and are set to punish them under the pretences of treason. In a weird turn of events, the Beluzian Government threatened to return the favour if Darnussia had "infringed upon Kalistan's territory". Foreign Minister Tannenbay was confused at the sentiment recognising the Kalistani Government has outright condemned the fascist takeover and its entirety and moved to distance itself from the nation as a whole. Earlier this month, President Finnbar Connor who had been believe to be killed by the putsch forces had sought political asylum in Luthori. Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman met with Connor who stated that he was grateful to have been granted political asylum in Luthori. Zimmerman had expressed concern as to the welfare of Connor and Mullane, with Mullane's fate being unknown to sources within the government. On the steps of No.48, Imperial Chancellor Zimmerman officially recognised President Finnbar Connor as the legitimate government of Beluzia stating that the Holy Luthori Empire would never recognise the incumbent putsch forces. Humanitarian efforts have begun for the large amounts of refugees pouring through the border region. The Ministry of Home Affairs stated that whilst the nation was accepting refugees it could only accommodate for certain amounts of individuals. Minister of Home Affairs, Francis Harrison stated that his Ministry had set the quota for around 1,000,000 refugees as the number itself is stretching the limits of Luthori's humanitarian efforts. Foreign Minister Tannenbay stated that he had discussed the humanitarian situation with Foreign Minister Van Jarraday where the topic of burden sharing was championed. It is hoped that an agreement could be made whereby refugees absorbed by Luthori could be taken up by the Darnussian Government. Foreign Minister Tannenbay stated that whilst the Luthorian Government was committed to a peaceful solution of the crisis, if the brutal regime in Beluzia continues on its path of radical fascism and oppression, the Holy Luthori Empire will be forced to take affirmative action. When asked about the potential of economic sanctions being levelled on the putsch forces, Foreign Minister Tannenbay stated that the decision had been tabled at the Imperial Diet whereby in the coming weeks Luthori's asymmetrical response to the Beluzian regime's oppression will be debated with a full diet expected due to the importance of the issue at hand.

Imperial Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman has won the first of two votes by the House of Representatives on Zimmerman's decision to impose economic sanctions on the Beluzian Government and order a distant blockade of major and minor Beluzian ports. The recent vote was on the decision to impose economic sanctions on high-profiled individuals within Beluzia's putsch government. The decision to impose economic sanctions comes as the continued brutality and human rights abuses of the putsch regime in Beluzia worsens, having made open threats to Darnussia and the Luthorian Government. As of recent, the putsch forces have blockade the movement of refugees out of the nation, thus leaving those who wish to leave the nation trapped with the threat of brutality hanging over their head. The Beluzian putsch forces have engaged in a series of human rights abuses including kidnappings and prohibitions to free speech. Although the putsch forces have attempted to sell the idea that they are democratic to the international community by holding mass trials, it does not negate the other heinous actions of the putsch forces. Chancellor Zimmerman stated that the act of finding individuals whom had never perpetrated acts which quantify treason as guilty of the crime was in itself biased and thus she shut down the supposed "impartiality" of the trials as being a propaganda stunt. Whilst is not law for the government to consult the Imperial Diet on economic action, Chancellor Zimmerman took it upon herself to consult the diet on the decision as she felt that it was of "national importance". The Labour Party voiced stringent opposition to the idea of economic sanctions stating that it will serve to further lament the labour position that the government should distance itself from the situation entirely. In Chancellor's questions, Labour Party Leader Charlie Sharp suggested that the government sought dialogue with the putsch forces in Beluzia. Chancellor Zimmerman stated that the commentary of the labour party was "not worthy of a reply" and "creates space for fascist sentiments in Luthori." The Chancellor is expected to base the merits of a potential blockade of Beluzian trade in the coming days before the Imperial Diet. Posterior to the diet vote, Chancellor Zimmerman on the steps of No.48 announced coordinated sanctions against the Beluzian putsch regime alongside the Darnussian Government. "The Imperial Chancellor made it clear that there was no room currently for dialogue with the Beluzian putsch forces who have made their oppressive intentions clear", a cabinet spokesman said. This being the first round of economic sanctions, the Chancellor stated that Beluzian offshore assets have been seized, and that trade between Beluzia, Luthori and Darnussia could come to an immediate halt. The Foreign Asset Management Office has stated that it intends on freezing and seizing Beluzian assets through Luthori and Darnussia and by extension the Artanian continent. As apart of the sanctions a travel ban has been placed on Beluzia, whereby Luthorian/Darnussian citizens have been barred from entering the nation and whereby Beluzians, especially high-ranking members of the putsch regime including Jack MacGinnis and known supporters of the Laochra ár Sinsear (Warriors of our Ancestors), will be banned from entering Darnussia and Luthori.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the travel ban would affect an unspecific amount of Beluzian officials immediately, with the threat of continued sanctions hanging as a deterrent to continued rhetoric from the putsch forces. Chancellor Zimmerman stated that there was still a chance or a pathway whereby Beluzia to defuse the situation. She urged the putsch forces to release the nation from its grips and recognise the democratic process. Whilst President Finnbar Connor remains within Luthori as a political refugee, Chancellor Zimmerman stated that she still recognised the democratic process which recognised Connor and Mullane as the democratically elected government. The putsch forces have apparently "won" national appreciation as it was projected through propaganda channels that the majority of the nation's population support the brutal fascist regime. Zimmerman ordered additional forces to the border bringing up 2nd Battalion, Royal Armoured Regiment and 1st Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. The sharpening of the Luthorian and Darnussian response comes amidst of exasperation with Beluzia's putsch regime. Representing the camp arguing for a hard line stance against the putsch regime and other governments who voice support for the putsch, Rowan Edwards, chairman of the Joint Select Committee on Defence and National Security welcomed the sanctions on the putsch regime, calling them "a step in the necessary direction for solidifying a firm stance against the regime." Whilst there have been talks to impose sanctions on nations who continue to engage in trade with the putsch regime, Foreign Minister Tannenbay stated that the Foreign Ministry alongside the Imperial Chancellery will discuss the matter.

The Imperial Air Force (IAF) is deploying four fighter/interceptor squadrons and hundreds of troops to Keymon, in what has been dubbed as the largest buildup of troops in the nation in decades. The deployment comes amidst the island's evolving security structure as Fort William intends on enhancing the role of the Luthorian Armed Forces on the island. Imperial Air Force Unionfighters and Tornadoes will be sent to the island accompanied by around 5,000 troops with accompanying armoured equipment. The deployment, as mentioned prior is apart of the Ministry of Defence's plan to enhance the security poster of the island amidst mounting international tension. A report by the MoD concluded that it would have to deploy around 25,000 troops on the island to form a formidable defensive and offensive posture. Currently, around 8,000 troops are stationed on the island scattered across the island in various facilities. The Ministry of Defence has already green-lite the construction of additional housing units, communications facilities, training grounds and storage facilities. The objective, the MoD says is to have around 50 facilities on the island. The principle base of operations for Luthorian Forces - Keymon is the IAF Winthrope, which is the home of the IAF Squadrons being sent. Another airbase, coined IAF Faleata is set to be constructed in the coming years near Jamestown.
The first deployment of troops is expected to be underway around August, 2019 with the final deployment of the 5,000 troops set to be complete in July 2020. The MoD states that the slow pace of deployment comes amidst the preparation of facilities for additional troops, current accommodations suit the estimated 8,000 troops currently deployed on the island. With an additional 5,000 entering the fray, the MoD is attempting to introduce the aforementioned facilities expansions and upgrades. 798 Squadron, 868 Squadron, 767 Squadron and 749 Squadron will be deployed to the island. As mentioned prior, they will possess mainly Typhoon and Tornado combat aircraft and will be based permanently on the island. However a AWACS aircraft from 45 Squadron will be on rotation on the island for 6 months beginning in June. The Keymon Garrison is expected to see new equipment amidst these deployments. Currently, the bulk of the garrison's armoured capabilities is made up of a combination of Chariot infantry fighting vehicles and Sabre armoured reconnaissance vehicles which double as infantry fighting vehicles. The troops deploying will bring with them the Samaritan 2 main battle tank, the Bloodhound armoured personnel carrier.
Whilst the Imperial Navy was not mentioned in the deployment, statements by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) have indicated to a potential forward deployment in the future. Currently, the Tundra-class offshore patrol vessels HIMS-Tundra, HIMS-Cole and HIMS-Rizzo, form the backbone of Keymon's at-sea defence, with minor contributions from smaller interceptor craft launched from the offshore patrol vessels. In an Inquiry into the state of the Keymon Task Group, it was found that many of the personnel serving on the vessels had complained to the MoD about the stress of being the only three vessels tasked with defending and monitoring the behemoth that is the Mad Dog Ocean and Keymon's economic exclusion zone. Whilst from time to time, a Series 500 destroyer may be docked in the nation/maybe conducted exercises near the island and will offer assistance to the Task Group through expanding the air-defence bubble around the island and acting as a long-range radar detection site to assist the Tundras whose radar have a shorter range, the assistance is only temporary as no Series 500 destroyers are permanently stationed at the island or are placed on rotation. To mitigate this, the Ministry of Defence alongside the Imperial Admiralty have met on various occasions on proposal to deploy either one or two Series 100 frigates to the island.

The Ministry of Defence announced earlier this morning that a Mordusian Shipyard, Noriega won the contract to build the much anticipated amphibious assault ship/light aircraft carrier for the Imperial Navy. This agreement was signed between the Shipyard owners Grupo Ortega, the Ministry of Defence and Pennington-Reid. This is potentially the first time, Luthorian and Mordusian business and governments are cooperating on the construction of warship. The deal comes after the acknowledgement of Naval High Command of Luthori's inability to conduct sustained military operations abroad. Several trade unions from across Luthori have been calling on the government to approach the Mordusians who have recently increased their interest in investment into the Luthorian economy. The trade unions also called upon the government to include Luthori's principle shipbuilder, Pennington-Reid as it would open the opportunity for greater jobs to be created.
It is stated that the largest section 26,000 tonne warship, being the frame (hull, deck, etc) will be constructed by the Mordusian shipyard and the technologies which the ship would most likely be using would come from a joint venture of a separate Mordusian company and Pennington-Reid. Work on the vessel is expected to start off the bat in the next six to seven months with manufacturing being the first stage and is expected to be in service by 2026. It was surprising to many that the Ministry of Defence announced its plans to move along with the programme with a Mordusian firm, The Minister of Defence responded to these comments by stating that Mordusian firms have always been favoured by the Luthorian government for their quality of work. It is uncertain whether the Ministry may up the construction by requesting two of these warships to be built, but with the cost of $900 Million to construct the vessel, we might expect a second request by the Luthorian Government for the construction of another vessel.
