Dorvish Kingdom gears up for October, 2020 electionsJanuary, 2019 The State Elections Commission has announced that the All-Dorvish League and the Social Nationalist Party continue to be the only two registered political parties. The current government is a coalition of the ADV and the SNP, underneath the SNP State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss, the Dorvish Kingdom has maneuvered itself into a position of strength. It is likely that the 2020 elections will bring unsurprising results with the SNP continuing to hold the majority and continue to cooperate with the All-Dorvish League and their leader, the Vice State Chancellor (often called the Vice Chancellor) Joachim von Auspitz-Topol who also serves as the Minister of the Interior. While the 2020 elections are likely to be focused around domestic issues, the Dorvish government is looking to expand its world view and underneath Foreign Affairs Minister Joachim von Bahr, a fresh face on the Dorvish political scene, has looked to Dorvik's southern tier to expand economic and regional ties with the Holy Luthori Empire. King Odacer I, who has ruled since the 2000 when he took over for his father, Wilhelm X, has welcomed ties with the Holy Luthori Empire and has been very vocal about his support for building regional cooperation. Artania has been loosely cooperative based around the Council of Artania and the Artanian Economic Council, both of which were founded in the 1950s following the Reich Civil War that left much of the northern portion of Artania in ruins while largely leaving Dundorf and Dorvik untouched. The meeting between Dorvik and Luthori is likely to take place in March, 2019 and will include a bevy of officials, notably officials from the Ministry of War, Ministry of Economics and others, such as the Ministry of Trade and Industry. This historic meeting could mean the beginning of a very strong friendship and partnership between the two nations. Despite the overtures of peace and cooperation from the Dorvish Kingdom, the Dorvish Ministry of War announced a series of annual exercises to be conducted regularly over the next several years.

Dorvish Foreign Office prepares for Artanian tourFebruary, 2019 Dorvish Foreign Minister Joachim von Bahr announced that he would be preparing state visits to Kundrati and eager to receive the Holy Luthori Empire and hinted at a possible plan to visit Dundorf. The Dorvish Foreign Minister will be joined by representatives from the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as representatives from the Supreme General Staff's Foreign Defense Office. The focus of the Kundrati meeting is likely to be similar to that of the meeting with Luthori, focusing on the development of continental relationships and building a unified front from the members of the Council of Artania and the Artanian Economic Council. The Dorvish are looking to capitalize on the surge of cooperation within the recent decade. Despite the relative openness about Artanian cooperation and integration, the Dorvish government has remained tight lipped about any details. It is known that State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss will be meeting with Luthorian Chancellor Elizabeth Zimmerman in Haldor within the coming days.
While the Dorvish government has ushered in building the Foreign Economic Council and its growing Foreign Capital Fund, a group of Dorvish bankers have formed the Dorvish Development Bank, a project several years in the making, in conjunction with support from the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Trade and Industry which have agreed to buy in roughly 40% while private investors are making up the other 70%. It is likely that the representatives from the Dorvish Development Bank will join the Dorvish foreign delegation to Kundrati. The proposed visit is to take place in March, 2019 and will be over several days. A tentative itinerary has been released by the Main Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs which includes a gauntlet of meetings, including expanding economic cooperation, fostering continued regional cooperation and the potential for military and security efforts with the two countries.
While the Dorvish Foreign Office prepares for a bevy of meetings, the Supreme General Staff and Chief of Staff Generaladmiral Domenikus von Lÿndow-Sennhein have announced a series of war games, mostly aimed at expanding the logistical and underway replenishment of the Dorvish Navy which will serve as the primary vessel for the Dorvish Armed Forces to conduct their business across the globe. Alongside underway replenishment and logistical wargames, the Dorvish Army will be conducting a series of mountain warfare games and training on Westmark and the Dorvish Air Force will be launching a series of airborne wargames throughout Greater Kordusia.

Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation announces Kizenian and Lodamese cooperationMarch, 2019 The Dorvish Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation, better known as by its acronym NTVS, which was formed in early 2000 to explore the tapping Dorvish natural resources as an economic source for the modern world. NTVS' primary focus was Dorvik's rich minerals located within the Black Mountain Chain that splits Largonia and Miktar and ends in the bottom area of Kordusia. The NTVS also set up exploratory committees for Dorvik's future as a energy consumer and producer, it decided that in early 2008 that the best course of action for the Dorvish Kingdom was to become a nuclear power. While Dorvik had experimented with nuclear technology in the late 1950s, the Dorvish did not attempt to build nuclear reactors until the first one, the Leipstadt Nuclear Power Plant opened in the early 1960s and was modernized in 1991 and subsequently again in 2005, it is scheduled for another modernization in 2020 following a series of minor updates and upgrades. The NTVS which partially owns each of these nuclear power plants alongside private companies, now is partial owner in 10 operational nuclear power plants spread around Dorvik and is responsible for nearly 25% of the energy generation in Dorvik.
In a press release from the NTVS it announced that the Dorvish NTVS would be opening a series of three nuclear power plants in Kizenia, located on the continent of Keris in a cooperation agreement with the Dorvish government. The Foreign Economic Council, the privately owned Dorvish Development Bank and the Ministry of Trade and Industry are working closely with the Kizenian government to work to open these plants. It is likely that the planning, building and construction of these plants will take several years. It was also announced that the Dorvish government would be opening a naval port in northern Kizenia in order to facilitate the transfer of radioactive materials, nuclear waste as well as facilitate training with the Kizenian authorities and the Kizenian Armed Forces in matters related to nuclear security and other avenues. The Dorvish Armed Forces will be tasked with the building of naval port and it is likely to be fully operational by January, 2020 with the assistance of the Kizenian Armed Forces. When asked about nuclear proliferation, Minister of Science, Education and Culture Dionys von Jaschke noted: "The Kingdom of Dorvik and Greater Kizenia are sovereign nations that have made a choice for a cleaner, more productive future through energy. We believe firmly that this is much more different than giving nuclear weapons to Greater Kizenia, we are simply facilitating a cleaner, more energy efficient future for ourselves and our children."
While the Dorvish are experiencing their first foray into Keris, the NTVS will also be sending an exploratory committee to Lodamun to discuss potential cooperation on the development of nuclear power plants in Lodamun. Despite some resistance on the homefront, the Dorvish Economics Ministry has noted a series of upticks in the Haldor Stock Exchange and the Wasse am Kas Mercantile Exchange, it is likely that alongside the NTVS projects, there will come agreements for foreign trade and mutual investment. Delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be joining the NTVS exploratory committee and it is rumored that officers from the Supreme General Staff's Foreign Military will be in attendance.

What is the Dorvish role in international affairs?29 March, 2019 Reports from the Dorvish Foreign Ministry over the past several months have been promising. Dorvik has secured relations with several countries and others are increasingly becoming interested in a Dorvish lead world but when the Dorvish News Service walked through the streets of Haldor, Vilnau or Fairfax, we asked the Dorvish citizen: "What is the Dorvish role in international affairs?" The answers that we received were rather surprising. We approached a younger couple on the streets of Haldor and they responded: "The Kingdom has a very important place in international affairs. If anyone can accomplish managing an effective international order, it is the Kingdom." Another couple, the female dressed in traditional Jelbic garb. "Dorvik and Vanuku will unite the world. The northern hemisphere painted with the Blue, White and Black and the in the south the Jelbic horses will cross the seas!" While despite the superiority of Jelbic horses, they cannot cross the sea...or can they? As we continued, we received many nods of support for the two ruling parties, the Social Nationalist Party and the All-Dorvish League and a large number of the citizens that were interviewed were open about their political loyalties to the monarchy and the military, which has become a sort of state within a state. While the citizens on the streets have their ideas, the Dorvish Foreign Ministry has been making overtures to ensure that the world order remains chiefly in their favor. The opening of a naval port in Kizenia, mostly aimed at securing the nuclear energy transportation and securing their nuclear power is directly across the sea from the what appears to be a rising radical, militant Communist regime in the Trigunian Democratic Federative Republic. Dienstleiter Amalaric Goßhain, the Chief of Kerisian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that the "Any further radical, militant, socialist or communist movements throughout the globe will have to be met with a series of actions, ultimately resulting in nations such as Dorvik, Kundrati and Luthori standing against such movements that seek to undermine world authority and corrupt peoples minds with their lies and slander." The Dorvish Foreign Ministry has established a number of positions for the watching of communist and socialist movements and have likewise paired with the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Military Security Service in order to combat domestic and foreign communist and socialist movements. Dorvish Police and State Security Service conduct raids across DorvikApril 2019 Announced hours after the first operations began, Operation Secure Center (Betrieb Sicherheitszentrum), was launched to counter a number of radical, militant socialist, communist and fringe groups across the three main provinces in Dorvik of Greater Kordusia, Miktar and Layern. The overall leader of the operation was announced as Standartenführer und Oberst der Sicherheitspolizei (Colonel and Colonel of the Security Police) Karst von Wahl und Obersee, a noted operational specialist within the State Security Service. In the media announcement the Standartenführer noted that the operation was being done after a confidential informant had tipped off the Dorvish Police and the State Security Service was notified. The press briefing announced that several had already been arrested and an unspecified number of weapons, Dorvish currency (and foreign currency) had been seized including a considerable amount of explosives. The Dorvish Police stated that the State Security Service would be primarily handling this as it was a matter of domestic security versus the more civilian-related matters that the Dorvish Police are often charged with. The Dorvish Police's Border Police Command Office issued an alert for the Kirlawan and Alorian border that security would be heightened due to the ongoing raids.

Dorvish role in foreign affairs continues to breed excellenceMay, 2019 Dorvish Foreign Minister Joachim von Bahr was seen departing Rohr-Mauss International Airport to the Mordusian capital of Alcaria. The Dorvish Foreign Minister has spent little time in his Altstadt office, located within the Foreign Ministry building. FM Bahr has made state visits to several countries around the globe and Artania. It is likely that the FM will return to Artania in mid to late July after making visits to Mordusia and Lodamun, returning the favor after a state visit from a bevy of Lodamese officials in Haldor earlier this summer. While von Bahr is hard to work on the foreign agenda of the Kingdom, he is joined by his partner in crime, Minister of Trade and Industry Ludwing Franz von und zu Czimnetz. The two have brought along a cadre of officials from the Ministry of Economics, the Foreign Defense Office of the Supreme General Staff and a dozen other others, including public-private bank known as the Dorvish Development Bank. The Dorvish Development bank is expected to build subsidiaries in several countries, it has already founded a branch in Kizenia known as the Dorvish-Kizenian Development Bank and is assisting the Dorvish NTVS in building several nuclear power plants in Kizenia. Ahead of the visit to Mordusia the DDB announced the creation of a new subsidiary in the Dorvish-Mordusian Development Bank, similarly the Dorvish-Lodamun Development Bank was announced ahead of the trip. Filings with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Economics "Corporate Register" see that the Dorvish Development Bank will likely form a subsidiary in the Dorvish-Beitenyu Development Bank ahead of the Dorvish planned visit to Beitenyu in July, 2019. While the Dorvish Development Bank has been the vessel for finance projects overseas, it is no surprise to see a dozen senior representatives from Dorvish corporations such as Abner AG, Artanian Bank, Artanian Defense Group, and a dozen other Dorvish companies including the Dorvish State Railway, likely to assist in building and rebuilding infrastructure systems within foreign countries.
While the Dorvish have remained busy on the foreign affairs front, State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss announced that Paulus von Strobl will be appointed as the first General-Plenipotentiary for Artanian Affairs, responsible for crafting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kingdom's, Artania strategy. von Strobl is a former Supreme General Staff officer and served in the General Administration Department (Allgemeine Verwaltungsabteilung) where he was responsible for maintaining the ToE of many Dorvish units, operational planning for administrative operations and generally assisting in organizing the Dorvish Armed Forces. He is currently a Colonel of the Reserves (Oberst i.R.) of the Dorvish Army. von Strobl is likely to make a major announcement regarding the future of the Artanian continent's cautious free trade, customs association that will likely include partners such as Luthori and Kundrati. Dorvik is cautious of giving up any of its sovereignty and it is rumored that talks have been ongoing since the Chancellor's meeting with the State Chancellor and has included several dozen offices and ministries working in tandem toensure that each of the two major power brokers in the Artanian future will be on the same page.

Dorvish condemn "sealing off" of Ananto StraitsJune, 2019 The State Chancellor condemned the move by Kalistan to proclaim that it had "sealed off" the Ananto Straits and stated that "Freedom of navigation through international waters is a key issue and we fully intend on cooperating with our partners to ensure that the freedom of the seas is kept and those who violate that will have to answer to it." While the Dorvish noted that the "...sovereign issues of Kalistan are their own, when they infringe on rights of freedom of navigation and the sea, we will stand up for all countries." Former defense and military officials have cited that while Kalistan represents a "...potent regional power..." it would be unlikely that they would be able to seal off the entire straight and thus leaves the possibility of foreign ships passing through. The Dorvish have no intent on sailing through the area if the situation can be resolved, but with Dorvik's aggressive foreign relations, it is possible that the issue will develop further. Dorvik has reported reached out to regional allies, notably Sekowo and has called a meeting with the Sekowian government regarding the actions. Stanislaus Ehrler, Chief of Dovani Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, is likely to be the pointman for the meetings where the FM von Bahr or potentially State Chancellor von Rohr-Mauss will make a visit to deepen mutual cooperation and sure up alliances overseas.

Unionfighter undergoes significant revamp, Lodamun joins inJuly, 2019 The Dorvish Armed Forces, in cooperation with several defense companies in Dorvik, have announced a series of upgrades to the "Unionfighter" a project that drew cooperation from several Artanian nations, notably Luthori, Kundrati, Dundorf and Dorvik itself. The project was started in the late 90s as the rise of pan-Artanianism drew many countries closer together following the end of hostilities in the early 50s following the Collapse of the Dundorfian Reich and the Reich Civil War. The Dorvish Armed Forces were seeking to replace the Artanian Defense Group's aging Tornado aircraft, which continue to serve today with significant upgrades. The Unionfighter name was chosen due to hints and rumors at an "Artanian Union" by the Tornado's parent company, the Mergenthaler Fighter Aircraft Company (Mergenthaler Jagdflugzeug GmbH) who, alongside several other companies, namely Luthorian companies formed a consortium known as the Artanian Fighter Aircraft Company (Artanische Jagdflugzeug GmbH) to build the new aircraft. Following the creation of the first mass produced aircraft in the early 2000s, Artanian Defense Group purchases AJagd GmbH in agreement with Luthori and Dorvik, the two largest stakeholders, and placed the company as a subsidiary of the Artanian Defense Group.
The newest upgrades place the Unionfighter with other fourth generation fighters such as the Baltusian F-16s and F-18s, while competing with the Indralan and Trigunian aircraft such as the Trigunian MiG-31, Su-27 and other domestic Indralan aircraft such as the J-10 and J-11. The Unionfighter will likely continue to serve until a suitable replacement can be found for the aircraft but in the meantime the Dorvish have continued to upgrade their aircraft and others have followed suite. While the newest upgrade of the Unionfighter was financed largely by investment by the governments of Luthori and Dorvik, the Lodamese government and leading technology researcher and manufacturer Horizon Technology Corporation joined the fray and contributed significantly to the Unionfighter. The Artanian Fighter Aircraft Company responded in kind by opening a new factory producing the Unionfighter locally with the Lodamese defense industry. The cooperation across multiple countries has not only bolstered the Dorvish economy but has largely bolstered participating nations economies and has prompted the AJagd GmbH to sponsor a number of technical competitions across the participating countries in cooperation with science authorities in the countries in order to find engineers and scientist that will be hired by many of these corporations. The Dorvish annually conduct a massive state-run science fair and Dorvish companies hire dozens from such events. [/div][/div]

Elections in the Kingdom of DorvikOctober, 2020 Elections in the Kingdom of Dorvik, to some outside observers, might appear to be "fixed" but the Dorvish political scene is a competitive mix of two domineering political parties. The All-Dorvish League, the smaller of the two political parties, known for their more conservative political views and staunch nationalist virtue to them. The Social Nationalist Party, the largest of the two political parties is known for its long history as one of the first political parties in Dorvish political history, it formed from the Northern Marches League (Nordmark Bund; NMB) which was a coalition of politicians that dominated the fractured Dorvish political scene well into the 19th century. The elections of October, 2020 held on the 1st, was delayed from January, 2020 to the normal date of October. The Social Nationalist Party secured elections retained its super-majority, it however lost nearly 35 seats to the All-Dorvish League for a total of 544 Deputies in the State Council. The increase of 35 seats for the ADV brought their total up to 206 and it was announced that the current coalition agreement would stay in place. Elections are next scheduled for October 1st, 2030; unless an emergency snap election is called earlier.

News from the KingdomSeptember, 2026 Elections held in Dorvik over five years ago have been met with a resurgence in Dorvish activity on a global scale. The Dorvish financial sector has continued to work relentless to spread throughout the world, a series of development banks, banking branches as well as investment and financial firms have dominated the Artanian financial sector. This is bolstered by the fact that the Dorvish have continued to pioneer the Artanian Union and its associated trade agreements wile protecting national sovereignty. One of the key tenants of the Dorvish foreign policy is strengthening Artania as a whole to ensure that Dorvish hegemony is protected by a series of allies and friendships that can be relied upon in times of crises. While the Dorvish financial sector, largely unregulated from a government standpoint, has dominated the field the Dorvish have worked to expand domestic mineral and natural resources production. The Natural Resources Technical Management Company has lead the charge, both domestically and international in bolstering cooperation with the private sector to increase environmentally friendly and conscious mining operations on Westmark and within Largonia and Miktar. While the focus on the Dorvish economy is centered around its strengths, the growing tech center that has developed in the Greater Haldor area has continued to push Dorvik into the modern era. The Dorvish tech sector was largely dominated by companies such as Ebner AG and Bismarck AG, companies that were some of the first to setup telegraph lines for the Dorvish Armed Forces but have largely expanded their business into the civilian sector. The Dorvish transportation sector boomed in late 2022 when the Ministry of Transportation, Infrastructure and Railways announced a strategic investment into rebuilding the Dorvish railways and infrastructure system. The Dorvish Autobahn, adopted from the Dundorfian Autobahn system, has become a marvel of the Artanian continent and alongside its Dundorfian counter-part has served as the basis for many countries highway systems. Expansion into rural areas have bolstered local job growth and shrunk unemployment, though the sustaining of such programs is untenable due to the fact that eventually the work will be done. The Dorvish Royal Railways, also known as the Dorvish State Railways, has expanded a number of systems and has worked to develop subway systems in most major cities, a focus of their “Dorvik, 2030” program that seeks to reduce private vehicle traffic in major cities and hubs. Domestic investment has surged in tech areas, infrastructure and development but also heavy investment into natural resources. While the Dorvish have a bevy of natural resources, mostly focused on mineral wealth, the Dorvish have been intent on keeping their natural beauty. Several major corporations have signed on the “Dorvish Homeland Protection Movement” which seeks to protect Dorvish natural beauty and the sanctity of the Dorvish soil. This movement was spawned by members of the All-Dorvish League with environmentalist beliefs who see the protection of the Dorvish environment as a form of patriotism and nationalism. The movement has gained track with several large pro-government groups and companies have willingly signed on to assist in the protection of the Dorvish soil. While the Dorvish focus on economics took precedent the Dorvish Armed Forces were not forgotten. The Dorvish conducted a series of reviews that culminated in the development of the current Dorvish Armed Forcesd Defense policy that will likely be carried out over the next several years. The Dorvish Army, Navy and Air Force have developed individual, unique plans for their respective branches and have begun to carry out their strategic and tactical goals, namely in the fields of building relations with the civilian apparatus of the Dorvish government as well as foreign defense development. Greater emphasis has been placed on quarterly wargames and annual wargames, the annual wargames focusing on combined arms style tactics and strategy. The foundation of the Special Operations Command Department, underneath the Supreme General Staff, centralized and unified command authority of all Dorvish special forces units including the Dorvish Army’s Stormtrooper units, the Dorvish Navy’s elite frogmen and marine units and the special forces wing and airborne troopers of the Dorvish Air Force. The command was developed as a means to coordinate the units that are considered “special purpose” and unify training, cross-training and centralize the command structure in order to focus on the deployment and operations of the Dorvish forces across the world.

August, 2036
Haldor, Kordusia - The Crown Prince, Odacer II, has taken the throne in a ceremony presided over by the Archbishop of Haldor Lukas Bernauer. King Odacer I has been in failing health since 2035 and has officially offered his abdication to his younger son, the 25-year-old Odacer II. It is likely that the incoming King will want to work with the government prior to 2040 elections in the Kingdom. State Chancellor Regismund Arvandus von Rohr-Mauss resigned during the October, 2030 elections and handed off the leadership of Dorvik to former Foreign Affairs Minister Joachim von Bahr, the veteran statesman who became an international celebrity for his rigorous foreign tours. The October, 2030 election saw an increase for the All-Dorvish League, bringing their seat total to 250 and the Social Nationalist Party capture a dominant 500 seats. Despite the loss, the continued relationship betweent the SNP and the ADV has lead Dorvik to a mutually prosperous relationship.
