Connor Escapes Beluzia Former President Escapes LaS Grasps to Luthori November 10, 2019
Connor Pictured in Fort William, Luthori
After vanishing without a trace for almost a month, the former President Finnbar Connor came back into the limelight when he announced his safety to the Luthorian government and Beluzian delegation (Of the previous government) and formally requested political refugee status from the Luthorian government. In Beluzia, Connor is still wanted for treason by the LaS who are currently holding political prisoners in a camp outside of Cirrane.
The LaS government has demanded that the Luthorian government immediately turn over Connor and the Beluzian delegation to Luthori into Beluzian custody for accusations of treason by the LaS. If the Luthori government were to hand over Connor and the Beluzian delegation, it would likely mean the immediate imprisonment of the delegation without trial and the giving of a show trial to Connor and his cabinet (Who have been in LaS custody and awaiting trial since the putsch). However, it is unlikely that the Luthorian government would give into the LaS' demands it it is far more probable that they will give political refugee status to Connor and the delegation.
Update: November 12, 2019 The Luthorian government has officially denied the requests of the LaS to return the former Beluzian President Finnbar Connor to their custody and has instead given the status of political refugee to Connor. This action by the Luthorian government has, reportedly, outraged Marshal MacGinnis has been compelled to issue a death sentence to Connor as well as put a bounty out on his head. So far, there have been no official repercussions on Beluzian-Luthorian relations, but tensions do continue to steadily raise.

Trials Held for Traitors MacGinnis Begins to Cave into International Pressure December 18, 2019Leaked Image of Mass Trial Held in Cirrane
In another diplomatic stunt that has earned MacGinnis criticism from the radical elements of his movement, the Marshal has ordered that all prisoners held in the Cirrane Prison Camp be immediately put on trial rather than face further delay or even indefinite detention. This sudden change in policy comes after veiled threats from Luthori and Darnussia to put sanctions on Beluzia, which could have the effect of preventing essential goods from reaching the Beluzian people. The trials were held all across Beluzia, with 2367 prisoners being transported to various local courts to have their sentencing as quickly and impartially as possible. In another action which has earned MacGinnis the ire of radicals was the decision to take extreme punishments, such as execution and life imprisonment, off of the table in favor of set imprisonments and banishments.
Cahal Mullane, the former Prime Minister, and his cabinet were also put on trial and had their trials carried out and sentences delivered at the National Court in Cirrane. Out of the Ministers, four were found not guilty (Food Minister Donohue, Health Minister McNiven, Social Services Minister O'Toole, Environment Minister O'Hara) and one was pardoned (Finance Minister Clery). The rest of the cabinet, including Cahal Mullane, were sentenced to ten years in prison with their sentences beginning on January first of next month at the Goldengate Correctional Facility, a private prison on near the coast of northern Negunia that is known for its decent living standards.
Sentences
Not Guilty | 1132 | Pardoned | 451 | Banished | 297 | Imprisoned | 487 | Total | 2367 |

Ár Náisiún Demands MacGinnis Step Down Politicians Call for an End to Oppressive Military Rule Amidst International Condemnation February 3, 2020
Ár Náisiún Dáil Member and Arm na Beluzia Officer Michael MacArthur Outside the Dáil
When Laochra ár Sinsear and the Arm na Beluzia committed a putsch and proclaimed the Kilani State of Beluzia on October fourteenth of last year, they had made the promise to only maintain power until the members of the Dáil could draft and vote upon a new constitution. The Dáil had managed to draft a constitution that received over three fourths of the vote in December, however this was ignored by the military government under the control of Marshal Jack MacGinnis of the LaS.
The proposed constitution contained provisions for the reinstatement of Dáil and local elections, a large centralization of powers to the national government, and the fusion and empowerment of the positions of head of state and head of government.
It is for the fact that MacGinnis refused a new constitution, took unpopular diplomatic actions, and has focused on the accumulation of his own power rather than the betterment of Beluzia and the Kilani people through the tenets of Kilani Fascism that the Dáil and members of Ár Náisiún and An Dílis have called for the immediate abdication or impeachment of Marshal MacGinnis and the institutionalization of the new constitution. The Dáil has already proposed and passed a resolution to give MacGinnis until the end of the month to abdicate and failure to do so would result in the impeachment and arrest of MacGinnis.
MacGinnis' influence over the LaS and the military has been decaying over the past few months due to the Marshal's increasing distance away from fascism and towards power hoarding. It wouldn't be unlikely for the LaS and AnB to turn their backs on the Marshal and instead support the Dáil.

MacGinnis Arrested Ár Náisiún Takes Power from Militants March 4, 2020
Mugshot of ex LaS Marshal Jack MacGinnis
After calling what he viewed as a bluff from the "disloyal" and "liberal sympathizing" members of the Dáil, Marshal MacGinnis was arrested by his own Laochra ár Sinsear bodyguard unit on the orders of the Dáil and the leaders of Ár Náisiún. When the MacGinnis refused to hand power over to the Dáil and his party by the end of February despite their threats of arrest and prosecution, MacGinnis was promptly arrested and put on trial the following day for treason. The result of the trial was unsurprising, MacGinnis was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment at Goldengate Correctional Facility, the same prison which currently holds Cahal Mullane and the members of his cabinet that were also sentenced to imprisonment.
After the arrest of MacGinnis, the Dáil finally put to a vote the ratification of their constitution which was passed 54-7. The new constitution would restore a small amount of powers to the Dáil and also establish a strong executive position known as the Uachtarán who would serve for a ten year period called the Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge (Mandate of the Kilani People) after being elected by the Dáil. Membership of the Dáil will be a life term, with members only being removed by death, majority vote in the Dáil, abdication, or by order of the Uachtarán.
Membership of the Dáil has been cut from one-hundred-and-fifty to just one-hundred, with twenty being offered from each state. The constitution divides each of Beluzia's states into twenty single-member districts that each have a Dáil representative that is voted into office in a first-past-the-post election system whenever their seat is left vacant. The first and elections, and likely the only to have each seat contested, have been scheduled for next month. Until then, the current sixty-one TDs will take on the government's most menial tasks. A few of the current TDs are running for reelection in the districts where they are eligible to run, but those who do not remain in the Dáil have been offered sizeable pensions along with unelected positions of power within the government for their service to Beluzia and the Kilani people during the recent tumultuous times, including the six independents and four TDs of An Dílis.

2020 Mass Elections First Lifetime Dáil Members Elected April 10, 2020
Inside the Dáil
Just as scheduled, elections for Members of the Dáil have been held and, as expected, Ár Náisiún has swept the elections, winning eighty-four of the one-hundred seats up for grabs. Winning the other sixteen seats were nine members of the theocratic An Dílis party and seven independent candidates. These elections are the first under the new constitution and likely to be the only ones in which all seats in the Dáil are up for grabs, due to the new policy of TDs serving lifetime terms.
Dáil Composition
Party | Ideology | Seats | Ár Náisiún
| Fascist | 84 | An Dílis
| Aurorian Church | 9 | Independent | Independent | 7 |
Now that the seats of the Dáil have been filled, the time has come for the Dáil to award the Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge to Beluzia's first Uachtarán under the new constitution. So far, there are two clear front runners for the position. The first is Michael MacArthur, a military officer previous AN TD who served from August 2016 to April 2020 when he chose not to run for reelection. MacArthur seems to be most concerned with remaking Beluzia as an economically self-reliant state with a clear Kilani and Aurorian culture. The other candidate is also a previous AN TD who chose not run for reelection named Uilleag Monahan. The positions which Monahan have voiced the most are the establishment of a firm stance on the international scale and the adoption of laws enforcing Aurorian moral standards.
Update: April 14, 2020 After four days of debate, the Dáil has come to the decision to bestow the Sainordú na nDaoine Kilaeilge upon Michael MacArthur, who will begin his reign as Beluzia's first Uachtarán under the new constitution after his inauguration, which has been scheduled for the first May. MacArthur will hold his position for the next ten years, until the election and inauguration of the next Uachtarán in 2030.

Beluzia Forgives Kalkali Debts MacArthur Insists that 1970s Loans Were "Gifts" April 17, 2020
As one of his first actions as Uachtarán, Michael MacArthur forgave the loans that the government of Kalkalistan took out from the Beluzian government during the economically tumultuous 1970s. Since then, the Kalkali government has been struggling to repay the Beluzian loans in full, and has decided to stop paying in October of last year in protest to the LaS putsch. This stunt hasn't ended well for the Kalkali markets, as the value of the rupee has begun to decrease along with the Kalkali stock market. In what could either be described as an act of generosity or a diplomatic stunt, Uachtarán MacArthur decided to forgive the loans by claiming that they weren't loans at all, that they were gifts from a strong economy to a weaker one in order to foster growth.
Statement from Uachtarán MacArthur:

ReKilanization of Beluzia Uachtarán MacArthur Announces New Culture Policy June 7, 2020
Proposed New Flag Design
In pursuit of the Ár Náisiún goal of reestablishing the Kilani culture as the dominant culture in Beluzia, Uachtarán MacArthur has announced a set of plans which would return certain aspects of Kilani culture to the nation and the government. The first and most observable of these changes would be the replacement of the yellow star in the current flag with the national coat of arms. Following this would be a change in numerous other small and unimportant areas, such as the national anthem and motto.
The government also plans on making more significant changes. In the area of education. Luthorian will no longer be a required language and all young citizens, including foreign diasporas, will be required to learn the Kilani language in order to maintain their citizenship. Uachtarán MacArthur also stated that the "correct" history of Beluzia will be taught to students rather than the "Luthorian propaganda" that has been forced upon Beluzia for hundreds of years. The government also plans on expanding the Beluzian Broadcasting Corporation to include a variety of new educational programs with the goal of further informing the people of the government's plans and programs and educating them on the Kilani culture that has been forgotten by the nation during Luthorian rule.
Lastly, in the future, Uachtarán MacArthur has informed the nation that he plans on changing the nation's current Luthorianesque currency, the Beluzian Pound, to a more one more fitting of the Kilani people: the Kilani Airgead. Historically, the Kilani Petty Kingdoms have used a currency known simply as the Airgead (Meaning "money" in Kilani) and it is only necessary that a Kilani national state use the currency of their ancestors rather than that of invaders. Each denomination of the new currency will share the same green color that has come to define Beluzia and the Kilani people, but will each depict a different important figure in Kilani history, except for the 1KA bill which will depict the ruling Uachtarán. The Ministry of Finance released a proposed timeline for the phasing in of the Kilani Airgead:
- January 2021 - Bills begin printing.
- June 2021 - First bills enter the market.
- June 2021 to June 2026 - The government will guarantee an exact conversion from BP to KA to anyone upon request.
- June 2026 to June 2031 - The government will guarantee an exact conversion from BP to KA to anyone upon request and the payment of twenty-five percent fee.
- January 2032 - The government will no longer back up the Beluzian Pound.

Government Nationalizes Healthcare Other Welfare Programs Cut to Use Funds on Nationalized Healthcare August 19, 2020
Healthcare has been a long time issue for the Beluzian people. Under the private healthcare system, the conservative government kept the way paved for the healthcare capitalists to maintain high prices and low quality for those who can't afford the upper-class clinics. This coupled with the low amounts of government assistance in the area caused a healthcare crisis that has largely been ignored by previous administrations. In an attempt to tackle this crisis, Uachtarán MacArthur has ordered the closing of all government welfare programs that hand out direct cash payments to individuals in order to free up funds to use on a national healthcare system, as well as further the MacArthur's goal of individual and national autarky by removing citizens from the dependence of the government. Uachtarán MacArthur has also ordered the seizure of the major private healthcare facilities across Beluzia as well as the arrest of a few healthcare capitalists accused of "subverting the health and wellbeing of the Kilani people for profit."
The government has indicated that the owners of the seized properties will not be compensated for their loss and has invited them to sue the government, as long as they'd be willing to have a countersuit brought against them.
The workers who manned the previously private healthcare facilities have been invited to continue their work for a slight pay increase, and it is expected that one-hundred percent will accept rather than go unemployed. The National Healthcare System and all of the freshly nationalized facilities will be put into immediate service and will provide their services for not cost, save for some rare and expensive operations that will require additional payment. In the future, the government has announced that it plans on upgrading the existing healthcare facilities in order to provide all operations for free and provide other operations that are currently not offered in Beluzia.
Not all of the clinics in Beluzia have been nationalized though, and private clinics have not been banned. Those that provide vanity operations such as plastic surgery and gender transitioning operations have been permitted to continue to exist since the National Healthcare System will only provide important medical services. However, these clinic will be put under strict quality assurance regulations to ensure that the health of their patients are kept as the ultimate goal rather than their vanity. Abortion clinics have also been permitted to stay open temporarily with the same clinics, as the National Healthcare System will only perform abortions in cases of medical emergency.

Plan for Autarky Government Releases its Plan for Achieving Autarky October 20, 2020
For the past year of fascist governance, there has been no significant strides by the new regime to improve upon the economy. Instead, the government has focused on perfecting the new political system and reKilanizing the nation. Excluding the change in the national currency to the Kilani Airgead, the new government made its first forayd into the area of economics with its release of the rough draft of the Plan for the Establishment of Duffyist Autarky or the MacArthur Plan. The plan would include the nationalization of industries vital to the living of the Kilani people and the expansion of those industries in order to create jobs and achieve self-sustainability.

Government Funds Arms Production Funds Have Been Given to Arms Manufacturers to Support Weapon Systems Programs April 5, 2021
Prototype AS1 Mobile Tank Designed and Built by Morrígan
In an attempt to create jobs in Beluzia, support the domestic economy, and make the nation less reliant on foreign entities, the government has announced that it would immediately begin funding the development of advanced weapons systems in Beluzia rather than solely obtain heavy equipment from foreign governments and companies, though the government hasn't indicated whether or not it will completely stop importing foreign weapons.
In this industry growth program, the government has given out grants to three Beluzian companies to either begin or accelerate their development of advanced weapons. Morrígan, the primary supplier of small arms and ammunition to the Arm na Beluzia, has been given the task to develop light tanks and main battle tanks, a program which they've already had for the past year but has been stagnant; Ferguson, a truck company, has been given the task to develop armored personnel carriers; and MacFarlane Aer, Beluzia's only producer of aircraft, has been given the final task of developing multi role jets, attack helicopters, and transport helicopters.
The three companies each expect their development to be at least a few years off, and mass production to be even farther. Until then, the government will either have to tip-toe on diplomatic lines or attempt to negotiate with the Luthorian government in order to avoid an escalation of conflict, though the Arm na Beluzia is estimated to be more than capable to defend against any land invasion.

Uachtarán MacArthur Condemns Imperialists Uachtarán MacArthur Formally Condemns Intervention in Likatonia 13 June, 2021
Uachtarán MacArthur
With tensions finally boiling over in Likatonia, resulting in its invasion by foreign powers, Uachtarán MacArthur and the Dáil have both released statements of condemnation of the foreign governments sending troops to interfere with the internal affairs of the Likatonian people. So far, the only two foreign nations with forces active in Likatonia are Mordusia and Sekowo who have both committed their forces to support Clovis of Pirland, the man claiming to be the king of Likatonia. The most apparent reason for Mordusia and Sekowo's support is to rid the nation of the current government of socialist revolutionaries, though it is entirely possible that they're attempting to expand their spheres of influence or even establish a puppet regime.
On the side of the socialists, no nation has sent troops to support, though the socialist government of Trigunia has voiced their support for the socialist government and has offered intervention with the consent of the socialists, which has so far not been accepted.
Uachtarán MacArthur's Statement:
In their usual and commendable fashion, the government of Kalistan has also taken a neutral and anti-interference stance on the crisis despite the undeniable benefits of maintaining a socialist ally in Northern Seleya. Accompanied with their statement of non-alignment, the Kalistani government has also requested that Mordusia and Sekowo stand their armies down and leave Likatonia as well as requested that Trigunia remain out of the conflict, but it is likely that their pleas will fall on deaf ears.

Prototype Jet Crashes Uachtarán MacArthur Puts Pressure on MacFarlane Aer February 23, 2022
Crashed Prototype MJ1 in Negunia
In an unfortunate and saddening turn of events, the first flight of MacFarlane Aer's prototype multi role jet, the MJ1, ended in disaster when the MJ1's systems failed and plummeted to the ground, crashing just outside of a potato field in Negunia. The crash killed the pilot, Sgt. Finnegan O'Riley, immediately and a second explosion that happened twenty minutes later killed two and injured three farm workers who had went to investigate the crash.
The backlash directed towards MacFarlane Aer and the government has been fierce, with many civilians, lead by the families of those killed and injured in the crash, demanding an end to the government's ambitious weapons research program. In response to thee growing criticism and outrage, Uachtarán MacArthur has reportedly given MacFarlane Aer one final chance to create a functional multi role jet and has threatened to close off their part of the program if any more Kilanis are killed by their jet accidents.
The Dáil has been the largest proponent of ending the MacFarlane Aer contract throughout the crash, as they have been against the Beluzia-built weapons programs since its conceptualization, wishing instead to put funding into the Autarky Project rather than spread the government's funds thin on weapons.

MacArthur Welcomes Baltusian President Uachtarán MacArthur Hosts President Eugene Newman in Cirrane May 27, 2022
President Newman's Plane Lands at Cirrane National Airport
On the evening of May 24, President Eugene Newman of Baltusia landed at Cirrane National Airport during a state visit to the capital in which the Baltusian President met with important officials of the government, including Uachtarán MacArthur. The Baltusian President, upon landing, was greeted by the Uachtarán who gave President Newman a short tour of the capital before escorting him to the Northam International Hotel, Cirrane's most highly rated hotel, where President Newman would stay the night before the visit.
The next day, May 25, President Newman and his delegation were escorted to the Dáil building where he was met by Uachtarán MacArthur, Overseer of Foreign Affairs Mághnus Ó Dubhthaigh, Overseer of Defense Sítheach Magorian, Ár Náisiún Chairman Tighearnach Slane, and An Dílis Chairman Reagan Hennessy. The discussion lasted three hours and was open to the press. Topics brought up included the two leader's plans for domestic policy, beginning new trade deals between the two Beluzia and Baltusia, the militaries and weapon technologies of the two nations, and the possibility of foreign pacts between the two nations. Following the three hour public discussion, Uachtarán MacArthur invited President Newman to the Palace of the Uachtarán where they presumably continued their discussions in private.
President Newman spent one last night in Cirrane, and departed for Baltusia early in the morning of May 26. As far as the press knows, know deals or agreements have been made between the government's of Beeluzia and Baltusia and the discussions that were held were only to start the two nations on a path of cordial relations, though it is still unknown what words were shared between Uachtarán MacArthur and President Newman in the Palace of the Uachtarán.

AnB Arsenal Raided Arm na Beluzia Soldiers Killed; Weapons Looted May 31, 2022
Smoldering Remains of Base AHN
In a gruesome turn of events, the Arm na Beluzia base Arsenal Harlingen North was attacked late during the night last night and its garrison of seventy-four soldiers were murdered in their sleep, with only eleven brave guards killed while defending the base. In addition to the slaughter of the garrison, all of the armory's weapons were looted by the raiders, including the base's two armored personnel carriers. As the raiders departed from the base, they set fire to the buildings within the perimeter, resulting in the destruction of most of the base and the burning of many corpses.
It is currently unknown who exactly is responsible for the raid and when they will inevitably strike again. Many theories have been floated, from an attack by Luthorian commandos sent to Beluzia to cause destruction and subvert the legitimate government to a raid by monarchists, inspired by the recent monarchist resurgences in Likatonia and Cildania, wishing to put in place Colm Kyran na Beluztalamh as the King of Beluzia.
Statement from Uachtarán Michael MacArthur:
Update: June 3, 2022 The communist terrorist group Arm na n-Oibrithe came out and admitted to its planning and orchestration of the AnB Base AHN and that it plans to continue its campaign of violence against the fascist government until it is toppled and replaced by a dictatorship of the proletariat. The AnnO has long thought to have been destroyed by the Laochra ár Sinsear and Arm na Beluzia when they launched a counterrevolution during the fascist putsch of 2019. It seems that the Anno is preparing for a guerrilla war and terrorist campaign against the current government rather than the general uprising that is typically accompanies by communist revolutions.

Militants Raid Test Sight Communist Militants Destroy Prototype MJ1 and R&D Data August 11, 2022
Beluzian Special Forces Breach Building Held by Communist Forces
The communist forces of Arm na n-Obrithe struck again after two months of silence since their attack on AB Base AHN. This time, AnnO attacked the MacFarlane Aer operating base for the multi role jet program near the city of Sarton. Unlike the previous attack, AnnO attacked in broad daylight, with over one-hundred men swarming the base while facing little resistance from the MacFarlane Aer guards. The militants were able to defeat the private force and locked down the base while they scavenged the base for supplies and destroying any information related to the multi role jet program as well as the last MJ1 prototype itself.
They took too long of a time at their task, however, and a unit from a nearby military base was detached to retake the base, and they did so after clearing the outside of the main facility of militants and laying an hour long siege that was only ended after a unit of special forces arrived to breach and clear the building.
The military, unfortunately, was unable to save any hostages held by the militants or the data they were sent to destroy, but the entire AnnO force was destroyed. Eighty-nine militants died during the battle and thirty-two were captured by the military and are currently being held and interrogated in Sarton.

AnnO Strikes Border Base Communist Militants Attack AnB Base on Luthorian Border November 17, 2023
AnB Troops Fend Off Communist Attack
In a third attack this year, Arm na n-Oibrithe militants assaulted Arm na Beluzia border guards stationed at LBB Delta. The troops stationed at LBB Delta were among the conscripts raised to man the Luthorian border in the case of aggression from the major power and were trained for a well-organized Luthorian attack from the east, not a random assault coming from within Beluzia's own borders.
The assault began early in the morning on November 10 when a wave of militants rushed the hill that LBB Delta was constructed upon, which caught the AnB troops off-guard in their sleep. Fortunately, enough troops were able to man the ill-prepared fortifications in time to fire upon the wave of communists and force them to retreat back into the woods. Th militants would lead a second assault later in the day, but faced an even worse defeat at the hands of the repositioned AnB troops. After the second assault, the thirty-four men (Initially thirty-seven soldiers were stationed at the camp, but three were KIA at the time) expected themselves to be outnumbered ten-to-one and opted to defend their tactically safe position until reinforcements could arrive to rout the communist forces.
AnnO forces assaulted LBB Delta five more times before reinforcements arrived on November 12 and forced the militants to retreat rather than battle a force roughly equal in manpower. In total, five AnB soldiers were killed in the battle and only one soldier suffered wounds needing treatment. On the other side of the battle, of estimated two-hundred militants attacking the position, fifty-two bodies were recovered and no wounded militants were found or prisoner taken.
Today, November 17, the government held a celebration in which they honored the surviving and fallen defenders of LBB Delta. Each of the thirty-seven defending soldiers were awarded with the Bonn Laochra agus Onóra (Medal of Heroism and Honor), and the five fallen defenders were additional posthumously awarded with the Bonn Íobairt Ghaolmhar (Medal of Heroic Sacrifice). The medals and honors were given personally by Uachtarán MacArthur to the surviving defenders, while the five awards awarded to the fallen defenders were given to their next of kin. The state has also sworn to pay in full for the funerals of the five fallen defenders, swearing to "look after our heroes both in life and in death."
